CHAPTER 12

  Noticing her husband's stance, Kate quickly held him back. Simba had risen his half butt off the seat to help Jack. When Jack assured him he was fine, he returned to his sitting position.

  "You should sit down to talk, omega Jack. There is no need for you to stand this way. I understand it's your way of showing me respect, and I get it. Please sit." Simba urged

  Taking the young Alpha's advice, Jack sat down, trying to calm his unstable nerves. He felt grateful that the crimson's pack alpha was approachable. It wasn't just about Jack being an old friend of the Alpha's family. It was a result of Simba's kind heart.

  "It's my daughter, alpha." Jack began sniffing, "she has been missing for a couple of days now."

  Simba appeared shocked, "and why am I just getting to know about it now?"

  "We thought it wasn't a good enough reason to bother you. Knowing how busy you are." Kate responded.
