CHAPTER 20

Mona stayed frozen in her tracks as she tried to think of ways to escape the monster in front of her or wait until he insulted every part of her. After the orchard visit, Mona had been restless and had pleaded with Sansan to let her run in the woods. Sansan had hesitated, knowing it would be her crossing the entire line if she allowed Mona such freedom.

However, she gave up in the end and had the both of them running around the woods in the pack house. They had been having a lovely time until Mona bumped into the one person she was hoping to not bump into for a while. But it appears the goddess wasn't in the mood to answer such hopeful wishes.

"Why are you out here?" Dylan's wolf inquired, looking livid.

Mona looked behind her to find Sansan's wolf hiding behind a tree, panicking. She chided herself for getting Sansan involved in her mess.

"I didn't know we were under locks." Her wolf threw back at him with a glare.
