CHAPTER 62

"You should stop pacing around, Mona, please," Sansan begged as she sat on the edge of the bed. Mona had returned angry and teary-eyed from Mark's place. Even went ahead to stop her conversation with Foden, who seemed to be showing a keen interest in her. The thought made her blush profusely. Straightening herself up, Sansan cleared her throat, hoping Mona didn't see her face.

Mona whimpered as she eventually sat down next to Sansan, her tears flowing continuously. Her heart was ripped out into several pieces, and it wasn't just about her discovery of Mark's past.

Trying to hold back her tears and shaky mouth, Mona hugged her leg to herself. "I don't belong here. This place would never make a home for me."

Sansan stared ahead in confusion, "I thought we had gone past this, Mona. Please talk to me; what happened?"
