CHAPTER 98

Diane paced the room back and forth, rubbing her belly; anxiety enveloped her. This was the first time she and Dylan would see each other after reconciling through their letters. All she wanted was a better chance to bond, but it appears flopped now that she had an outburst.

She rubbed slowly at her neck, taking note of Ralph's gaze trailing her. She isn't crazy; they all think it's pregnancy hormones, but it's not, and Diane can feel it in her core. Dylan has to be responsible for every mistake he makes.

"You should sit down, Diane. Pacing around won't do you any good." Ralph said

"I can't sit still, honey. Did I do anything wrong by telling him the truth?" Diane inquired.

"My question is, did you take Mona away from the conversation she was having with Dylan because of Simone?"

"No, I did that to make Dylan yearn for her more..if she falls for his whims these first few discussions, she might end up with Simone's fate."
