CHAPTER 114

Making his way back to his chambers, Dylan seethed in pain as the arm where Mona's claws had torn at his skin burned. He should have slammed her against the wall and made her unconscious, but he couldn't bring himself to do anything to hurt her.

As hard as it was to admit, she had been able to reach a very sensitive part of his heart, and there was no way he could harden that spot anymore. Her tears had him feeling some sort of ache in him.

Even though he would love to console her, Mona doesn't want any of his care. She was fine with being on her own, and it made him angry.

Dylan had intended to take Mona away from Mark through a fair game, not by having one of them dead and giving him some sort of soft victory. How else is he supposed to convince her that he knows nothing about Mark's death and had no intention of having him dead?
