  Dylan tried hard to hold back the laughter bubbling in his throat, which made him chortle instead. Foden didn't fail to miss it and glared at him. The two of them had taken a break from the study, sitting outside by the garden where they often sat after a long day answering the pack duties.

  "You have been staring all morning blankly. Why do you look this miserable?" Dylan asked, sipping his wine.

  "Fatherhood is going to be the end of me," Foden replied, gulping the content of his fluke at one go.

  "Why would it do that? Sofia is a lovely child."

  "How about you take her in for a day or two?"

  "You make it sound like she is a pain in the neck."
