  "I don't think I want to continue with this marriage," Nia said out of the blue during breakfast. Zac huffed, slowly chewing on his dry bread, not paying her any mind.

  "I am sure you heard me, Zac."

  He threw the last piece on the plate hard. The bread couldn't hold still and fell to the ground. "Do what you want, Nia. I have had enough of you. You think I don't know there is someone else you have had your eyes on for a while?"

  Nia gasped loudly, slapping him hard across the face. Tears laced her eyes, "I am not shameless, and don't you ever accuse me of infidelity! All I ever did was try to love you."

  "Don't try to love me!" Zac flared. "You always make me feel less of myself as the head of the house. No matter how hard I try, it's never enough for you."

  "I would be nicer if you ever cared about this family's growth and not the bruise of your ego."
