CHAPTER 181

  Simone shifted to the side, stretching her hand to the other side of the bed. She was surprised at how cold it was. Sitting up hurriedly, adjusting her eyes to the room. There was no sign of Zac. They spent the night together, one of the longest nights she had experienced in a long while.

  Exhaling, she stood up to make herself some tea. It was about time for her to head to the shop, but she was feeling lazy. Running the bake shop was becoming tiring; she intended to penetrate the packhouse by using her baking skill. Even though she got more than expected, it was annoying that she had to keep up the charade.

  A knock came on the door. Simone scrunched up her face wondering who would visit her so early. She rarely has any guests, and Elaina, who made the house her go-to before marriage, has never knocked on the door since she became a mother.

  Sniffing, she headed to the door. A young red-haired man stood by the door with a letter in hand. "Good morning, are you miss Simone?"
