"Angela!" My mom yells, jolting me awake from my much needed siesta.
It's takes me five minutes and two more calls from my mother to make it downstairs.
"Yes mother?" I say, trying to simultaneously rub the tiredness out of my eyes and the the headache from my head.
" I need you to make a run to the grocery store." She says, tossing me what should be a list and some money, which I failed to catch.
"You okay?" She asks while I pick up the fallen items.
" Yes momma. " I say with a small smile and make my way to the door.
Once outside, I take a deep breath and start my walk; the wind swaying wisps of hair around my face.
The grocery store is barely a five minute trek from my home and it takes me ten minutes to get there and finish my shopping but there's a long line at the counter; save for that I would have been home by now.
And I also wouldn't have spotted Leo on the other side of the street.
