CHAPTER 24

What she said made me so excited. I can't wait to see Zion again, though I didn't know how he was able to get out. I was about to tell mom about what happened to me and Zion last night when the door suddenly opened, revealing dad, carrying his suitcase. He looks so tired and his eyes seem like they haven't slept for days.

I badly wanted to run to him, hug him and massage his head to help ease his pain, but not now. Not that he can't even look at me after what I did. I thought he'll walk past me to greet mom but even mom's eyes became emotionless as dad directly took the stairs without even looking at me nor mom.

Tears build up the side of my eyes. I didn't know that this accident would make it this worse. To the point that even my parents didn't recognize each other like how they were before. They used to be... So in love.
