CHAPTER 101

It’s not like me to be this flaky. I don’t even care that I missed two pages already. I know I can always ask for them at the end of class from those in the homework group we run. I am sure Elisa hasn’t neglected to take them down.

“Hormones?” Elisa interjects like I seriously needed an answer. Her deflated tone tells me she, too, is so over this bull crap we have been enduring from those two frat jerks.

“Maybe.” I can’t resist turning again to sneak another glance Dane’s way, hoping to catch him looking at me again, but he’s not. He and Tyler are facing one another and smiling about something Tyler has on his cell. Carefree and unaffected. Seemingly engrossed in something amusing and not taking notes either. Not that I am shocked at Dane’s lack of paying attention in class.

As I stare at them, I can’t help but get a little mesmerized by how cute Dane looks today. Despite my irritation at him and my million reasons to be annoyed. He’s looking too good to hate completely.
