*David's POV
I was waiting for her in our room, scrolling through my phone, looking at today's breaking news. I can't believe he killed himself. 'How stupid,' I smirked. That's when Liah came out of the bathroom wearing a bathrobe. She looked perfect with my marks on her neck. She was smiling, I wonder why. Don't get me wrong, I love her smile. It's the reason that I am concerned.
"Why are you smiling?" she jumped, hearing my voice.
"I ... I ... " she shattered, making me pissed.
"TELL ME, LIAH!" I shouted, making her flinch.
"I remembered Sarah," she replied, trembling.
"Do you miss her?" I know how much she loves her friend. She nodded excitedly. "Do you want me to call her?" I asked softly. I want to make her happy.
"Please," she said with pure excitement.
"Before I call her, I have some rules for you," I said, walking closer to her. For every step I took, she moved backward. "Rule number one, you won't say any stupid thing to her.
Rule number two, you will tell her that I am your fiancé and you will invite her to our wedding.
Rule number three, you won't mention Mark," I concluded, caressing her lips.
"She will ask about him," her eyes started getting teary.
"Make something up," I pecked her lips. "Why didn't you eat your food?" I asked.
"Ah, I just woke up, and I wanted to take a shower. I was going to eat now," she explained cutely. I was just lost in her words. She had this effect on me.
"I will feed you," I said, carrying her to bed.
"You said you will call Sarah," she reminded me.
"I will after you finish your food," I kissed her head. "I love you," I said, but she looked like she didn't buy it. "What's with that face?" I asked her.
"Nothing," she replied, trying to avoid eye contact with me. I pulled her closer to me.
"Liah!" she finally looked at me with those teary eyes, making my heart sink.
"Why are you hurting me then?" her voice had a little disappointment.
"Why did you lie to me?" I asked back.
"I didn't lie to you,"
"Let's not talk about this," I said, laying her on the bed. She went silent. I then started feeding her the food. She looked cute while eating.
After she was done, I clapped for her and took the plate downstairs. I washed it in the sink since it was just a plate, then went back to her. She has already changed into my favorite hoodie. She looks flawless. I am amazed by the God who created her for me. I sat on the edge of the bed and stared at her beautiful eyes. I loved to see them, but today, they were hurt.
"You promised to call Sarah," her eyes sparkled.
"Do you remember the rules?" I asked just to make sure.
"I won't say anything stupid to her
I will tell her that your fiancé and I will invite her to our wedding.
I won't talk about Mark. Even if she mentions him, I will make something up," she explained like a baby. She is really excited and cute.
"Good," I said, taking my phone out to dial Sarah's number. After a few rings, she picked up. This is a new untraceable number, so she wouldn't know who it was
*O.T.P
"Hello," Sarah said calmly.
"Hey, Sarah. It's me," Liah said with tears in her eyes.
"Lee, where are you? How are you? Is everything okay?" Sarah continued asking. I put it on speaker so I could hear their conversation.
"I'm fine, Sarah. I just called because I really missed you," her voice cracked.
"I missed you too, dear. Tell me where you are. I will bring you with me," she sounded like a mother. That's what she was like to her. She always took care of her, and she never let anyone see her in a bad way.
"I told you I'm fine here. I just missed you so much," a hiccup escaped her mouth, and she covered it right away.
"You're not fine, Liah. I know you're crying," she argued.
"I told you, Sarah. I'm perfectly fine," she assured her.
"Are you with David? Is that why you are saying that you're fine?" she asked, not believing what she was telling her. Liah looked at me, not knowing what to say. I put it on mute and then whispered, "You don't have to lie," I pecked her lips.
"He is the one who called you. Why would you think I would lie because he is with me?" she questioned, looking at me.
"Because he kidnapped you," she said angrily.
"He didn't kidnap me. We just moved out," a drop of tear escaped her eye. I wiped it quickly.
"Just like that? Liah, you didn't even tell me!" she shouted.
"Sorry, Sarah. Things happened fast and ..." she didn't let her finish.
"HE KIDNAPPED YOU!" she completed it for her.
"I love him!" Liah spoke, making her silent.
"You what?" she asked, not sure of what she had just heard.
"We were dating. I didn't tell you because I knew you would freak out," she lied. God, I wish this was our story.
"Stop making things up, Liah. I saw the cameras at the park. You were not fine. Your neck was bruised, your ankle was not fine, and you also had bruises on your wrist," she explained
"He also had a hickey," she tried to argue.
"I also saw how he got it. He forced you,"
"He didn't have to force me. He is my fiancé," she almost cried.
"He is your step-brother," she was getting pissed.
"I told you we were dating,"
"I know you wouldn't have dated Mark if you were in a relationship with David," she had a point, and of course, she knew Liah.
"We argued that day, and I just wanted to make him jealous," she is crossing her fingers. That's what she does when she is lying.
"And played with his feelings? Are you hearing yourself?" she sounds angry.
"It's just one date. I'm sure he wouldn't think it was a big deal," her eyes got watery.
"Yeah, that's why he was trying his best to find you," she said sarcastically.
"Anyways, I called to invite you to our wedding," she tried to change the topic.
"I want to know something first. Do you guys have sex?" she asked. Another hiccup escaped from Liah's mouth, and she covered it right away.
"Yes," she responded.
"Did he force you?" she continued her investigation.
"I did it with my consent," she replied, trying to prevent her sobs. I felt sad seeing her like this.
"Are you happy?" she asked. Liah shook her head continuously before replying.
"Yeah,"
"I'm happy if you are happy,"
"Thanks, I'm gonna hang up. I love you," she finally said.
"I love you too," Sarah replied before hanging up. She immediately broke down after she hung up. I hugged her tightly and let her stay like that for a moment.
"I hate myself. I hate everything about me. I'm tired of this. Everything is awful. I want to die. Why me? WHY DAVID?! WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE ME?!" she shouted, hitting my chest.
"Shh, it's okay," I tried to comfort her, but she pushed me harshly.
"NO, IT'S NOT! LOOK AT ME!! I'M BRUISED EVERYWHERE!! YOUR NASTY MARKS ARE ALL OVER MY BODY REMINDING ME HOW WORTHLESS I AM! I HATE MYSELF BECAUSE OF YOU!" she screamed. "I hate everything, David. I thought if I talked to you, if I try to understand you things would be better. But I'm wrong. You will never change. You will never treat me better. I'm just a slut for you," she finally said.
"No, that's not true, princess. You are my everything, my love, my princess, my whole world. I love you more than my life. What I said last night was out of anger. I didn't mean any of it. I swear," I explained, cupping her cheeks. I am on the urge of crying right now.
"You didn't even let me kiss you back. You were that disgusted of me," her eyes showed me how much my words hurt her. I'm so stupid. How could I let anger take over me.
"I'm sorry, princess. Believe me, I hate myself for that. I will hate myself forever. Please forgive me. Punish me if you want. I will do anything you say," I said, pulling her into my arms.
"Let me go then," she said, making me face her in shock. "Leave me and let me be happy,"
"You know I can't let you go," my voice cracked.
"But you said anything," she looked at me with her doe eyes that melt me down.
"Anything but that," I replied kissing her lips. She wasn't kissing me back, so I broke the kiss and asked, "Why aren't you kissing me back,"
"You never allowed a slut to kiss you back," she said making me hate myself more.
"I didn't mean it, princess. Please kiss me back," I begged before connecting our lips. She kissed me back this time, and after a few moments, she pulled out.
"I want to sleep a little," I nodded and pulled the blanket over her. I then lay beside her, pulling her into my arms. She put her tiny little hands on my waist.
"I promise, princess. I will do better," I said cuddling her to sleep.
