Returning to paradise

After repeatedly pleading with Max for about an hour, he finally agreed to take me to the clearing I had once found by accident.

He skillfully led me through the maze, through all the twists and turns and secret gateways, as if he had done it a thousand times before.

Perhaps he had.

It all looked so different in broad daylight and everything seemed so alive.

Flowers adorned the leafy corridors that surrounded us, creating a colorful pattern.

Most of the flowers were ones I had never seen or heard of before, which made me occasionally pause to look at them closer or inhale their fragrances.

One that I was told was called a Papageno rose, managed to disappoint me greatly as the fragrance did not do the look of the delicate flower any justice.

It was a sweet but very faint fragrance, while the flower itself was a playful mix of pink and white.

Max who had been extremely patient with me up to this point, gently tugged on my arm to get me to move.
