Chapter 3

This was it my life was giving to end here. I struggled to lift myself from the ground. My body hurt. I knew that I had broken someone's bones. I groaned as I struggled. I looked like an upside down worm trying to get of its back.

The creature gnashed it's teeth.

It's disgusting body heaved with hunger. I also unfortunately felt it's cold musty breath on my body. This was it.

It snarled.

I laid on my back and I stared at the sky. It looked beautiful I always loved stargazing. From the corner of my eye I could see it getting closer. I was gonna die. In instant my body was whisked into the air I took a deap breath.

I stopped struggling and I steadied my breathing. Even breathing hurt.

It held me by my throat. My legs tangled in the air. I stared death in the teeth. Ironic that it didn't have eyes in the front. It would have made this statement more herioc. My breaths became more hitched and painful.

It twisted it's heads. I didn't struggle I knew it was useless. It wasn't fair how I didn't get to live my life. I turned 18 two months ago I was gonna graduate next month. I had plans for my life here I was being robbed of them. I felt anger build up.It just wasn't fair. It wasn't fair at all.

More anger radiated through my body. I could feel my insides boiling.

Something inside me that had been trapped inside was at the very brink of escaping. It was feeling something I had never felt before. This energy that manifested on my emotions.

The creature tightened it's claws around my throat.

I got more agitated.

It wasn't fair.

I closed my eyes and I let go. My body shook violently I felt something flowing through me.My body rebooted with energy. The pain disappeared. My body felt different.

It felt powerful. This raised questions in my head. What was I? What was this?

I felt my soul dance. I opened my eyes and I was flying, surrounded by a ring of energy. Some avatar type of shit. Straight out of a comic book. If I hadn't seen my bloodied legs I'd think it was dream.

I could not believe it.I was glowing a glanced down at myself. I was radiating this energy. The creature backed away from me. It was now staring death in the eyes. It was scared of me.

My anger radiated through my body and this ignited my body more. Eveything around me shook.The trees tugged and fought with one another. The creature before me struggled to stay put.

"It's not fair!" I screamed.

My scream came out piercing and strong. A sound like no other.

I felt something unlock inside me. I lifted my arm and grabbed the creature by one of its head.I was surprised at how I lifted it effortlessly. What was happening to me? When did I get so strong. Funny how a few days ago I could barely open my sprite bottle now I'm lifting creatures by their necks

The more I stared at it the more I got angry.

I wanted it to burn in hell. In an instant my hands radiated with flames.I set it on fire. I didn't want to question why flames were shooting out of my hands, I'd think of that later for now I need to deal with the thing infront of me.

It screamed in agony as flames ate up its flesh. The hunter became the hunted. Soon its screames became faint and it's body had been consumed completely by the fire.

It crumbled to dust leaving only a small pile of ash behind. I inhaled deeply. I slowly lowered myself back to the ground. I landed on my knees. I heaved and tried to catch my breath. I felt more drained than I did when I was in that tree.

Reality settled in and dread filled my body. What did I do ? What just happened? I glanced at my palms barely a trace present to explain what just happened. As if these weren't the same hands I had just used to burn a strange fucking creature to the ground.

I fell to my knees feeling my chest get tighter. I suddenly heard movements around me. I look around alarmed and hoping that creatures friend wasn't here to avenge it. It was pitch black around me. I closed my eyes then opened them again. I could see a glowing figure on my left next to a tree. Why did I suddenly have night vision?

"Come out I know you're there, if you don't I'll blow you to nothing." I said through my breaths.

That was was a bluff I was exhausted and vulnerable. I transformed into a freak with powers a few minutes ago and I didn't understand what happened. I was pretty sure I was about to pass out any minute now.

The figure came into view. A guy came into view. I struggled to stand up but eventually I did. I was still weak and I could barely stand straight. Dark spots started to blur my vision. I was about to pass out. I tried my best to fight it, it would be the worst thing if I passed out infront of this unknown person.

"Come with me." He said.

"No ....I-

I felt myself falling and I braced myself for the impact but I felt a strong pair of hands wrap around me.

"No I wo-

I couldn't finish my sentence I felt my body slipping into a deep sleep. I gave in and my world went black.
