15. He Killed My Parents

Rhian's POV

Uncle Armando pointed the gun at my Parents, his eyes filled with hatred and anger. I didn't expect Uncle Armando to do this. I stayed hidden to prevent him from seeing me.

"Hahahahaha, you look shocked brother. Cat got your tongue ". Uncle Armando spoke.

"How could you do this". Pa said

"Don't be too surprised. You were always our father's favorite, he would scold me but he wouldn't scold you. I got so mad when father decided to transfer all his property to you, neglecting me who was his eldest son and giving everything to you. So I decided to get rid of the old man for giving you everything". Uncle Armando replied

I gasped

"So you killed our father, you are so evil". Pa shouted

"I had to get rid of him for giving you everything. I pushed him down the staircase and he died. All of you thought he slipped and fell but I am the one that killed him". Uncle Armando spoke

" So he killed grandpa". I whispered to myself

"Guess who kidnapped your beloved daughter(Maya)from you" Uncle Armando replied

I stood in shock

"You monster!". Pa shouted and he ran towards Uncle Armando but Uncle Armando shot him on the leg.

"Aaah" . Pa groaned in pains

"Eduardo are you ok". Ma asked Pa

"I'm fine dear". Pa replied

"I was like a sister to you but see what you've done. You are a bloody bastard and a crazy maniac". Ma replied

"Shut up! Woman. Don't let me kill you right now".

"I will kill two of you today and I will destroy your family. You two are the cause of my son and my wife's death". Uncle Armando replied.

"You are cause of your own son and your wife's death. You were very careless. Your wife was a drug baron and you tried to cover her up, we reported her activities to the police and they pursued you, your wife and your son. Your wife was ready to turn herself in, to the police but you were persistent in running away from the police and both your wife and your son were shot mistakenly because of your recklessness". Pa replied.

"You liar!you told the police to kill them".

I was shocked to find out that Uncle Armando was married before with a son too.

"You two deserve to die, together with your whole family". Uncle Armando said

"Mr.Hyung was getting too suspicious of me so I told my men to get rid of him. His corpse is in his car and the police won't suspect anything".

"Mr Hyung is dead". I whispered to myself

"Amelia my new wife, caught me talking on the phone about killing Mr Hyung so I strangled her till she died. What a pity!" .

I gasped

"She couldn't just mind her business. You two have heard enough, it's time to die". Uncle Armando said

I became afraid

What should I do? If I come out of hiding, he would kill me

"Please, spare us". Ma replied

"Never!"

Then I heard the sound of the gun and bullets fly into my parents chest and I didn't hear any sound coming from them again.

He Killed My Parents. I didn't know how to react, I stood there in shock and tears ran down my cheeks. I couldn't do anything to stop this from happening, I wish this was all a bad dream that I would wake up from but this was reality.

"Hahahahaha, my little brother and sister in law. Your death sweets me". Uncle Armando replied

I turned back and ran with all my strength with tears in my eyes. I had to get help, when I got to where the car was packed, I told the driver to take me home immediately. On my way home I called the police and they went to the scene of the crime.

I got home and I was so weak, the scene kept playing in my head over and over again. Then I fainted.

"Rhian! Rhian!". I opened my eyes slowly to see Maya, Yna Ji-yoo Noah, sir Isko and ma Belen .

I sat up straight on my bed and the scene replayed again in my head.

"Rhian, what is it? You fainted when you came into the house". Maya asked

"Ma and Pa are dead". I replied with tears in my eyes

"No, they can't die. What happened, how did they die?". Maya asked

"They were murdered".

"Let's call the police". Yna replied

"I've already did that".

"Let's ask Uncle Armando for help". Maya replied

"Never!"

Everyone looked at me in shock

"But he's our Uncle". Maya replied

"He's not my Uncle. I've cut all ties with him". I replied

"He killed our Parents Maya. He shot them in cold blood, he showed no remorse, no emotions, no love. All he showed was pure evil, he was pretending to us all along".

Everyone gasped

"No, this can't be Sis. You're lying! you're lying!you're lying ". Maya cried.

We hugged each other and cried on each other's shoulders

"So sorry dear". Sir Isko replied

"Be strong dear". Ma Belen replied

I nodded my head

"Sorry Rhian, sorry Maya ". Yna replied

"Don't cry guys". Ji-yoo replied

"Cutie, so sorry. You are going through alot, be strong". Noah replied

"Sorry Maya". Noah spoke

I smiled at everyone and I am so happy for their support.

The next day the police came and they gave me reports. Mr.Hyung's body was found but it was burnt beyond recognition. Amelia's body was found in Uncle Armando's garden and that gave me enough evidence to prove him guilty of murder. He was arrested.

I and Maya just turned eighteen so that means I could testify against my Uncle in court. We have lived in new Jersey for two years and so much has happened.

I decided to visit my Uncle in jail before the court hearing .

"What a surprise to see my lovely niece". Uncle Armando said

"I am not your niece. I hate you!". I shouted

"I won't spare you in court. I will make sure you pay for all your evil deeds. You're a monster".

"Whatever, I won't go to prison. You will see". Uncle Armando replied

"I will make sure you go to prison. You will see tomorrow".

Then I walked out.

The burial of my parents is going to hold after the court hearing in the Philippines . I attended Mr Hyung's and aunt Amelia's burial, I cried so much that I fainted. Mr Hyung's new wife dropped Lisa at our door step and she ran away, I couldn't blame her. She was scared, I cared for Lisa like my own sister.

The day of the court hearing

I showered, packed my hair in a bun and I wore a black gown to mourn my parents at the burial after the court hearing.



Maya also got dressed in a black gown to mourn our parents.



Together we went to the court hearing for the verdict. Ji-yoo, Yna and Noah also came. Uncle Armando was brought into the court room and the proceedings started.

I was asked several questions and I answered sincerely. My Uncle glared at me with hatred and I didn't get scared at all. After my lawyer presented the evidences, the judge gave his final verdict.

"Mr Armando Bonifacio, you are therefore found guilty of murder and therefore sentenced to life imprisonment". The judge spoke

I heaved a sigh of relief.

As the police took Uncle Armando away, he smiled at me and I became uncomfortable.

"You think you've won. But I will have the last laugh". Uncle Armando replied.

"Well, we will see who would really have the last laugh". I replied

Uncle Armando was put in prison and we all took a flight to the phillipines for my parents funeral.

"Ma, Pa, you left me so quickly. I hate Uncle Armando for taking you away from me. I hate him! I hate him! I hate him!". I shouted

I cried and cried, I rolled on the floor and the pain couldn't go away. The pain of losing my parents was just too much for my delicate heart to bear.

"Calm down Rhian, let's be strong. We will get through this". Maya replied

"Yes Maya, we would get through this". I replied
