This is to much!

"Are you sure we're allowed up here? It feels pretty sketchy being on the roof, way at the back." With class finished, Lyra had taken me all the way to the back of the academy and flew us up to a part of the roof that was flat. It was excluded from everything else and even out of sight from the high towers within the academy.

"I don't know, but no rule states we can't and with your Mum making us both lunch, it should become our little hideout." Lyra shrugged it off and sat against a wall as we were on one of the lower buildings and since we were at the back, we had a great view of the vast forest that surrounded the city.

"How did you even have time to find this place? Haven't we been together ever since yesterday morning?" I was kind of confused as to how Lyra had the time to check for such a place, as it's pretty out of the way. We had to go upstairs to one of the common rooms that had a balcony and from there we flew here.

"Oh, I saw it at orientation, where we could explore the academy. I was originally going to use this place just by myself, but I figured since I made a friend, I wouldn't need to. However, I feel like we could both use a spot to be hidden away from everyone." I was surprised that Lyra came to orientation knowing she would rather be alone and scouted this place.

It's honestly perfect, as many students can't fly yet, so it is kind of a safe haven for us.

"I see. Well, you did a damn good job." I took a seat right next to Lyra and leant against her. It felt a little awkward at first to do, but what was there to be embarrassed about?

"Thanks, now let's see what your Mum made us."

We pulled out the lunch boxes my mother had given us right after breakfast and opened the lids.

"No fucking way." I stared in disbelief as my mother made an omelette that had a drawing of me and Lyra's heads in a heart.

"Fufu~, Maybe I should start calling her mother in law." There was a massive grin on Lyra's face, of course, as on her lunch, it said future daughter in law.

"NOT YET!!!" I screamed out of embarrassment, as this was way too early to be having this kind of conversation.

"Yet? Why not now if it's only a matter of time?" Lyra then grabbed my chin, pulling me in close to her face.

'AHHHH! NO, THIS IS WAY TO HOT FOR ME!' I felt tingles all through my body and a part of me wanted to cave in to this super degenerate side that I've been suppressing.

'Is this how all the Manhwa women feel whenever a prince or some super attractive person does this to them? Because I think I get it now.' I couldn't help but be reminded of the books I've read about scenarios like this. At first, I found it outlandish, but being in this situation myself, it feels so intimate.

"Oops, it looks like I am going to short-circuit your brain." However, before Lyra did any killing blows, she let go of my chin and pulled her face away.

"Y-you could have continued… hmph." I honestly felt a bit disappointed, but she was certainly right, I would have been at least stun locked for 5 minutes.

"Oh, come on now, I need to save it before you get used to it. Otherwise, it won't be fun to tease you." Lyra nudged my side with a big smirk on her face.

"I feel like I should hit you over the head for teasing me, but... I can't say I don't enjoy it." Wait, am I a masochist? Saying it out loud kind of made me realise it, and I don't know how to feel about it.

"Careful what you say~." Lyra chuckled, clearly taking note of what I said.

"W-whatever, let's just eat before it's too late." I didn't want the food to go cold, as the preservation magic from the lunch box wasn't in effect anymore and totally wasn't an excuse to distract my mind.

"Sure, sure~."

After finishing lunch, Lyra and I enjoyed the view, not really having much to say. I was a little worried it would be awkward, but there was something comforting about just sitting there, holding hands and just enjoying the silence.

Anyway, enough about the roof date. Magic theory went pretty much the same as last time and Kasla even gave me the same talk about my magic. I was glad that this event still happened, as I feel like Kasla will be super useful when it comes to learning magic.

It might lead to personal lesions, which I definitely do not want to turn down.

"What was that about?" Of course, since Lyra is in my class this time, she was curious about why Kasla wanted to talk privately.

"She wants me to meet with her since I might be able to effectively use all the elements." I whispered into Lyra's ear, as I didn't want any of the students to hear this kind of news. It would only draw more attention and bullying from others.

"Wait what?!" Lyra loudly whispered in my ear, which turned some heads, but they quickly looked away upon seeing us.

"Shh! When we did the mana exercise, I saw a rainbow of colours for a moment until it turned yellow, the same colour as my flames." Panicking for a moment, I made sure to speak extra quietly just in case.

"Okay, that is insane... It's probably a good idea to meet with Kasla then." Lyra was still trying to process the information I just told her, but what made me curious was why Kasla didn't freak out a lot more.

'I guess there might be others, so I'm not a one of the kind mage in this world.' My thoughts went to the headmaster of the academy as well as the mystery family that I am a part of. If it involves creation magic like I suspect, then I guess it makes sense to be quite adept in all elements.

"I plan to, but I don't know the extent of it since it was so brief." That was the other aspect of what I saw and that was the fact that I saw the rainbow for such a short amount of time. Did it correlate to how well I can use elements, or was it just showing me my future potential?

"Well, you've only used your fire right? So you might just need to learn how to use the other elements, but that can take forever." Lyra gave her opinion, which sounded reasonable, but all I could do for now was live long enough to receive the invitation.

"Probably, I will see if you can join me, as it might be useful for you as well." If it was going to be private lessons, then I definitely wanted Lyra to get in on them.

"Oh, you don't have to, but I won't deny the offer." Lyra looked a bit caught off guard and upon thinking about it for a moment, it made sense. I could see from her perspective that she expected to provide everything for me, but now the tables have turned on her.

"Anything for you." I smiled and Lyra looked back at me fondly.

"Oi, you two at the back, stop chatting and pay attention." Kasla yelled out from the bottom of the auditorium and smacked the pointing stick she had on the magic board.

Lyra and I quickly straightened up, shutting our mouths'. It was, of course, followed by giggles from the class wanting to jump at this chance to bully me.

"Shut-up before I burn all your asses for interrupting my class." However, Kasla jumped in causing silence to spread throughout the room.

"Good."

Being already familiar with the class, I was able to easily complete all the tasks set out by our teacher, Ragan. Lyra had also just walked into this class with me, as she would have headed to a different hall.

The main difference this time, except for everyone finding out I have the most mana, was Lyra taking the show of having the best mana control out of everyone, which came as no surprise to me. The way she used magic was refined, which I thought was the baseline for this world.

'I need to practice more. If I can have good control over my magic then I can finally protect myself and even Lyra.' I didn't know how long it would take, but with Lyra moving in, maybe I can speed track my progress.

'This time I won't let Raja have his way and he will be the one burned to ashes.' I felt pain grip my heart, but it was soon followed by a rage that was building overtime for what he did.
