A baby who never cries

In his previous life, just moments before Merlin Yvkiasha was born...

One night, after Jon came home from a wild drinking party with his friends, he fell asleep in his room. Suddenly, he woke up in a different body – the body of a baby named Merlin Yvkiasha. Still drunk, Jon thought it was all just a hallucination. He had absolutely no idea what was going on.

It wasn't until the healer helped him with his headache and put baby Merlin to sleep that Jon realized he was still in the same body. But he still had no clue that he was in the body of a baby named Merlin Yvkiasha.

Slowly opening his eyes, Jon felt a bit drowsy as he saw the ceiling of the house above him.

—I've never seen this place before, where am I?

Unaware that he was in a baby's body, Jon felt that his body was stiff and difficult to move. He thought he was experiencing sleep paralysis. Merlin's parents, who noticed that their child had woken up, immediately greeted their son. His mother, who had been sleeping next to Merlin, changed her position slightly and lifted him onto her lap.

Unaware that he was in a baby's body, Jon was surprised when a giant woman suddenly picked him up. So surprised, in fact, that he let out a loud scream. "Ahh!! Uahh!"

Jon was shocked that his scream wasn't as loud as he thought it would be. In fact, it sounded like a baby's cry. He had no idea what was happening to him.

Merlin's mother, thinking that her child was trying to play with her, started talking to him. Jon remained silent, not understanding a word of what the woman was saying. His brain seemed to have stopped functioning.

—What is she saying? Is she speaking giant's language? I don't even understand English.

Not long after, Jon accidentally looked at his feet and hands. Jon was immediately shocked, "Aaaa! Aaaaaaa!" And once again, Jon was shocked for the umpteenth time after hearing his own scream. Especially with the fact that his hands and feet suddenly shrunk.

—How could this be?! How?!!

Jon realized that the woman in front of him was not a giant, but a normal adult woman in general. It was not the woman's body that was big like a giant, but Jon's body that had shrunk. More precisely, Jon's body had turned into a baby. Jon didn't understand how this could happen.

—Did I go back in time? No.

Jon looked at the woman's face and was sure that his mother was not that beautiful.

—I mean, my mother is certainly beautiful. But that woman, she's on a different level.

Shortly after, his father Merlin came to see his newly awakened child. They both looked very happy to see their child safe and tried to play with him. However, Merlin or Jon was just silent, confused, and very restless. Jon really didn't understand what they were talking about. Jon felt like a newborn baby, and he was.

—Have I died and been reincarnated? I don't know.

Everything he felt was so real, and everything he experienced was not a dream. Reality, at least so. Even if this is a dream, what kind of dream makes him endure after he realizes that all of this is just a dream? Usually, people will wake up from their dreams when they realize that it is just a dream. But what happened to Jon was very different. Jon was very aware and sure that he was currently inside the body of a baby.

His mother, sensing her child's uneasiness, thought he was hungry. Shortly after, his mother opened her shirt a little, took out her breast, and gave him breast milk. Jon, who was lost in thought, was late to realize that he was currently sucking on the breast of a beautiful woman in front of him. At that moment, Jon froze, and his breath stopped instantly.

—W-what is this? Am I in heaven?

Jon wondered as he realized he was suckling on the breast milk of a beautiful woman. He felt an extraordinary energy after drinking the milk. For the first time in his life, Jon tasted a unique and incomparable flavor of water. He no longer cared about what was happening to him; whether he had traveled back in time, reincarnated, or anything else. As long as he could enjoy the breast milk from the beautiful woman, Jon would accept everything with pleasure.

Slowly, Jon began to close his eyes. He could not resist the sudden drowsiness that overtook him. In the depths of his heart, Jon wanted to experience that sensation for even longer. However, the body of the newborn baby was truly weak.

As a newborn baby named Merlin, Jon lived his days. He surrendered to his fate and didn't care to find a way back. To him, nothing was important in his past life except for the thugs who claimed to be his underlings and his enemies.

Jon was a teenage boy known as the strongest student and ruler of the school. He was the most feared and respected by his enemies. However, all those titles disappeared now that he was inside the body of a baby. Jon didn't care about everything he had left behind.

Jon thoroughly enjoyed his life as a baby, drinking breast milk and sleeping every day. Even for the first time in his life, Jon realized that he was peeing in his own diaper. According to him, it was something that every baby in the world did.

Day after day, Jon passed as a baby who was not just any ordinary baby. His development was much faster than other babies. Within two months, Jon could sit up and crawl. By the third month, he could even stand, although still unsteady.

Jon tried very hard to continue developing himself quickly. He thought that if he trained a lot since infancy, he would become stronger than his current self. One reason that motivated him was Jon's past dark experiences that forced him to survive in a harsh world. He applied it in his new life now, although he didn't know what awaited him in the future.

Day by day, Jon began to understand what his parents were saying. Jon's parents were very surprised and proud to see their child's rapid development. They thought that their child was very special and was the greatest gift that God had ever given them. However, there was one thing that had been bothering them since the day their child was born - Merlin had never cried at all.

One night, Merlin's father saw his baby falling down the stairs. Merlin's father saw Merlin trying to crawl down the stairs, and he realized too late what was happening. When baby Merlin was on the fifth step from the bottom, he fell all the way down to the ground floor. Merlin's father rushed down the stairs to help Jon, but he slowed down when he saw Jon sitting and looking up at him from below.

Jon felt worried when he saw his father, Merlin, looking worried and tried to tell him that he was okay. However, Merlin's imperfect pronunciation made Jon's voice sound like incomprehensible baby babble.

When Merlin's mother heard the commotion of her husband's footsteps, she woke up from her sleep and came to see what was happening. Without asking her husband, she went down the stairs and picked up her child while rubbing his head. It seemed that Merlin's head was slightly bleeding at the back.

Merlin's mother was angry with her husband for not taking good care of their child. Merlin's father admitted that he really didn't know that Merlin was crawling on the stairs. Merlin's mother made sure that Merlin was okay even though he didn't cry after falling and bleeding.

Jon felt annoyed for being caught in his carelessness when going down the stairs. He tried to get used to moving quickly. Although his body was only that of a baby, he wanted to practice early on so that he would become a stronger man than Jon is now.
