Chapter 3

It was my birthday. I asusual went to my work. He already told me that he is working and can't celebrate with me. But for the first time in all these years we've known, he called me exactly at 12 am and wished me. I was so happy for that.

My birthday is on teacher's day. So, there were functions at my school. Many students gave me letters, chocolates, gifts and roses. Though they gave it for teacher's day, it felt special to receive so many love from the students. On top of that, I got first place in teacher's singing competition. So I was late to go home that day but I was super happy.

When I reached home, I noticed several calls from him. I called him back. He said that he ordered take out for me at our regular restaurant and to go fetch it up. So, I went but to my surprise he was actually there waiting for me for a long time. I was surprised. I didn't expect him to give a surprise visit to celebrate my birthday.

We ordered and while eating, he gave me many gifts and a greeting. There was a letter as well. He told me to open the letter at home. But when I opened the greeting, I noticed "I love you". I was confused whether he was actually proposing me or it was a normal statement between friends. I dreamt of him proposing me on my birthday many days but was it actually happening? I was thinking whether to clarify with him or just let it be.

At that moment, he actually said that he love me. I actually couldn't believe that its happening. My brain might have short circuited. We just had our dinner and went for a small ride. That time my brain hit me that I didn't reply to his proposal. I wanted to take him to a good place and reply him but it started raining. We had to pull over. I told him that I too love him. He told me that he was waiting to hear that.

It was a beautiful and memorable day for me. I read the letter after I reached home. It was three papers letter. He mentioned that he fell for him on our 3rd year of university but he just hesitated to accept. He said sorry for the pain I had to go through all these years and that he would compensate me with all the love in the future.

My dream finally came true and my love didn't fail. It was just the start of my story. However, love life always have so many bumps and hardships. Those who can withstand it alone can actually win in their relationship. My story is just beginning.
