Chapter 4 - Lover Not Yet Fulfilled_2

Upon seeing Helen's figure disappear through the door, Viscount Simek looked at Richard, and Richard looked him right back.

"Mr. Richard, first of all, let me express my sincerest gratitude to you for selflessly reaching out to my niece," the middle-aged Fox person carefully selected his words, before cautiously inquiring, "It seems Helen has a particular fondness for you. May I have the audacity to ask, are the two of you....?"

"I am deeply in love with your niece, sir.", Richard, sensing the subtle superiority complex emanating from the middle-aged Fawkes, gave the Viscount an unequivocal answer.

"It is a beautiful mistake, young man. There will always be such beautiful mistakes in one's youth. I assure you, years from now, this will be one of the most precious memories of your life," Viscount Simek said in an unhurried manner.

Richard squinted at the man before him, clearly intending to force a marriage and drive a wedge between two lovers.
