The corridors and passages of the temple were lit by rows of oil lamps every few dozen steps, illuminating the columned walkways and lintels. The columns were decorated with golden bronze shields, various ornaments, and decorative sculptures of exotic birds and plants. The friezes, adorned with white marble slabs, featured reliefs depicting Beamon mythology. On the gable walls of the east and west sides of the temple were reliefs representing a chariot drawn by two gigantic elephants, and Lorraine warriors, reclining on their side, polishing their beloved weapons.
The God of War, Kampas, with Misha and the porcupine Leed, were shown on the last panel of the relief, alongside Medusa, who leaned against the god of war, her hair fluttering, her eyes projecting an appealing warmth from beneath the cold armor.
A very human warmth.
Liu Zhenhan stared at this relief for a long time.
