These adversaries could make their scalp prickle with unease by their simple presence, facing such characters, the bandits felt wronged. They were facing a force forty times their size! Why did their adversaries have such indifferent and calm faces? Why were their eyes as sharp as newly sharpened steel knives?
The bandits who had tasted blood knew what such eyes mean. The fierceness can be nurtured, but this inherent combativeness can never be developed.
