The divine beings loyal to the Sun built their Splendid Palace atop the Holy Mountain and ruled the entire world from within.
In years past, when the golden sunlight of the scorching day pervaded the land, peoples who worshipped the fierce sun would pilgrimage from all corners of the Earth, conducting grand rituals at the foot of the Holy Mountain and composing poems in praise of the sun's grandeur.
But now, those simple folk who once sung praises to the Sun beneath the Holy Mountain, had long since degenerated into hideous, frenzied monsters...
