Prince Lieyang walked into the narrow tavern, first scanned the interior of the establishment, and then, with a haughty tone, commented:
"Although cramped as a mouse's hole, it's passable. Barely acceptable without sullying my nobility."
He glanced at Iris with a forced smile and added, "If you were my maidservant, I would crush that insincere grin underfoot."
Iris's eyebrows twitched, "Redhead lizard, I dare you to say that again?"
"Standing before you is the distinguished Prince Lieyang, from the Mongra Giant Lizard Royal Family of the Galama Empire. If you spout that derogatory nickname about me again, I ensure my royal guard will burn this tavern down with a single fire."
Iris had already rolled up her sleeves to reveal her smooth, white arms, clenching her fists tightly.
"No need to wait for that to happen. I'm going to give you a beating now, you ugly, redheaded lizard."
In a flash, Iris disappeared from Lin Ge's view, and when she reappeared, she was a step in front of Prince Lieyang. She maintained a gallant punching stance, and a fierce gale of her punch swept through Prince Lieyang's body like a hurricane, making his armor clang with the sound of clashing metal.
And her slender, fair wrist was firmly grasped by another plump, white hand.
"Iris, you must not lay hands on a guest."
Lin Ge had no idea how Nilu had appeared. He looked toward the door of the rest area, which was tightly closed. He began to wonder if he was still half asleep.
"It was that redheaded lizard who provoked me first," Iris retorted, with her wrist caught by Nilu.
"Have you forgotten the rules of this establishment? Any kind of violence is forbidden inside unless a guest causes trouble, then you may use force to expel them. Other than that situation, employees must absolutely not initiate physical aggression against guests."
"Hmph, I know that."
Iris reluctantly withdrew her fist, her temper growing worse since Lin Ge's arrival these past two days.
Only then did Nilu show a smile and said to the stationary Prince Lieyang at the entrance:
"Sorry for startling you, dear guest. Please feel free to pick a spot to sit."
"Ah, ahem!"
Prince Lieyang seemed to suddenly wake from a nightmare and strode firmly towards the bar.
"Hey, you silly-looking bartender, stop staring at me like a worthless frog. Get me a drink."
Hearing Prince Lieyang scold Lin Ge, Iris suddenly found the redheaded lizard somewhat more appealing.
Lin Ge tried to maintain his composure and asked, "What kind of drink would the guest... prefer?"
"The taste doesn't matter much, but it must befit my distinguished status."
"Heh, very well, please wait a moment."
Lin Ge wasn't in the mood to mix drinks, so he directly served a large glass of beer to the red Lizardman in front of him.
"Oh, not bad in color."
Prince Lieyang lifted the glass, praised the golden liquid for a moment, then opened his mouth full of sharp teeth and dumped the beer down his throat.
"Refreshing and invigorating, it reaches deep into the soul. I didn't expect such fine drink from your shabby and simple tavern. Now, bring one for this beauty beside me as well," said Prince Lieyang as he turned his head and gave Karina a Lizardman-style dashing smile.
Karina, however, was completely captivated by Lin Ge, "No need, I cannot bear to drink anything besides the cocktails he meticulously crafts."
"Hmm?" Prince Lieyang turned his spiky lizard head back around.
"What's that drink she mentioned? Give me one as well."
Although Lin Ge was in a state of extreme shock, he couldn't neglect the customer's request. He almost instinctively began to make a Long Island Iced Tea.
Prince Lieyang watched him mix the drink, intermittently flicking out a long, forked black tongue.
"Not bad, quite interesting..."
After finishing, Lin Ge placed a Long Island Iced Tea on the coaster in front of Prince Lieyang.
"One Long Island Iced Tea, please enjoy." His tone was like that of an emotionless robot.
"Tea?"
"Although it's called Long Island Iced Tea, it is actually..." Lin Ge, like a question-answering machine, explained it once again to Prince Lieyang.
"Excellent drink!" Prince Lieyang extended his long tongue, licked a bit from the glass, then his vertical pupils suddenly widened, and he poured the entire big glass of Long Island Iced Tea into his mouth.
Prince Lieyang let out a burp from the alcohol and placed the glass back on the bar.
"If you didn't look so silly, I might actually want to take you back with me to brew drinks exclusively for me."
Meanwhile, Karina asked with concern, "You've been acting strange since a while ago, did that barbarian Iris scare you?"
From the corner came Iris's voice, "Redhead, don't think I can't hear you. And what gives you, a war-hungry muscle woman, any right to call me barbaric?"
Karina acted as if she didn't hear her, focusing all her attention on Lin Ge.
Finally, Lin Ge asked, "Who exactly are you, and where do you come from?"
Karina answered honestly, "I come from a small town in the Osroni Empire, but I haven't been there for many years. I've been wandering around the continent, and I've only arrived in Castalon in the past few months."
Prince Lieyang cleared his throat and said, "I am the noble Prince Lieyang from the Mongra Giant Lizard Royal Family of the great Galama Empire. I am currently traveling the continent. The day I return will be the grand day I ascend to the throne of the Galama Empire. On this meaningful journey, I hope to find the other half to share this glory with me, the future Empress of the Galama Empire..."
While he spoke, he glanced at Karina beside him, but Karina remained unmoved, still staring at the seemingly silly-looking bartender, much to his annoyance.
Hearing all these unfamiliar place names, and feeling the jealous gaze from a lizard, Lin Ge thought he must be going mad.
Could it be that a new continent has been discovered on Earth?
"What continent are you referring to when you talk about the 'continent'?"
Karina replied with a puzzled look, "Of course, the Aeos Continent."
"Ah, Aeos."
Lin Ge fell into deep thought.
At that moment, Nilu approached the bar and saw Lin Ge, who looked as if his soul had been sucked out. She spoke with a gentle tone, "It looks like the boss didn't fully inform you about what kind of establishment this is when you were interviewed."
Iris also came over, giggling happily. Just seeing the expression on Lin Ge's face at that moment brought her great pleasure.
"That's true, if we explained everything from the start, he might have been scared off, huh?"
Lin Ge quickly asked, "What is going on here, exactly?"
"As you can see, this tavern serves guests from other worlds. Your world's brewing craft and mixing techniques far surpass those of the Aeos Continent, which is why the manager posted a job advertisement there and then hired you. Do you understand now?"
