Chapter 100

He had never heard such a guttural voice before.

  He turned to find the voice, not surprised to find the golden-eyed man, Kelly, who had relinquished his hold on Isla.

  He rose to his full height, which wasn't much taller than Mikel, perhaps only a couple inches, but he was broader. 

Everything about him screamed brute, beast.

  Mikel narrowed his eyes, unimpressed at the primal display of power.

"You are Mikel?" he growled again, taking two steps closer to him.

"I am."

The brute's eyes began to glow and he lifted his lip in a snarl.

The scarred man cleared his throat. 

"Kelly...."

He was completely ignored by both young men.

Mikel glared at Kelly as he advanced closer.

  Every fighting instinct he had had him widening his stance and clenching his fists, prepared to defend himself.

"This is your fault," the wolf snarled. 

"It's your fault this happened to her."
