Yet, that was all thrown out of the window.

Almost a decade after The Great Awakening which shook the entirety of Terra, the Hunter "Ace" stood before many people as he announced something that no one could've ever imagined.

"Today, I will be announcing my retirement."

Yes. That day marked the end of one Hunter's journey.

Though, it was not out of his own free will.

"...?" As Malory called out to the two hunters in the distance, Jace and Penelope immediately took notice of her. "Ah...? The group leader..."

In almost an instant, Malory closed the distance between herself and them.

"I'm so glad the two of you are safe..." she sighed with relief in the next moment. "Do you know where everyone else is...?"

"..." Jace shook his head helplessly in response. "Unfortunately, I only managed to find you and Penelope."

"That's not good... Theo and Landon are still missing," she frowned. "Then there's the other hunters..."

"We tried to search for them, but the monsters were becoming too much for us to handle," Penelope frowned. "We decided to lie low for a bit until we found you."

"Is that so?" her brows furrowed, her head turning towards Jace. "Then..."
