Having risen to unimaginable heights through battling many gates over the years, his glory was renowned throughout the world and was said to be one of the few hunters that would pave the path to a brighter future for their generation.

Yet, that was all thrown out of the window.

Almost a decade after The Great Awakening which shook the entirety of Terra, the Hunter "Ace" stood before many people as he announced something that no one could've ever imagined.

"Today, I will be announcing my retirement."

Yes. That day marked the end of one Hunter's journey.

Though, it was not out of his own free will.

Levelling by the Sidelines

"Welcome to Fefien Hotpot~!" Within a busy restaurant called "Fefien Hotpot", a group of four hunters could be spotted entering it. There, the sight of a blonde-haired woman could be seen greeting them with a smile. "Table for how many?"

"Four," at the forefront of the group, Landon answered.

"Four?" The girl nodded her head in reply. "Alright, would you please wait to the side here? I will have your table ready soon!"

"Man..." As the group followed the orders of the waitress and stood to the side, Derek sighed, lowering his head in dejection. "Why did the BBQ place have to be closed today..."

"Hey, hey, cheer up!" Landon patted his back in turn. "Hotpot's also good! Jace and I went here before, it's a pretty good place!"

"That's not the point here..." Derek shook his head helplessly. "BBQ..."

"We'll just go to one next time," she shrugged. "What's the problem in that?"
