As everyone went straight to bed, Olivia snuck around the house unable to sleep after making a painful discovery.
Her father was one of them, he was evil that explained why he hesitated to answer her mom's question.
She looked at her shadow which unlike her was still intact.
She wondered if other people had this kind of ability and if she were the only one who was invisible.
She shook her head from side to side trying to shake off the odd feeling until she noticed someone behind her. It was her mom who looked equally tense.
She looked at Olivia but said nothing. They stood silent and after a few minutes Olivia decided to break the ice.
"Why did you hide everything from me?" Olivia asked calmly as she adjusted the heavy scarf on her neck.
"Your dad and I decided to keep you safe, he said it was right but I disagreed we argued and we finally divorced" her mom replied.
"And dad's one of them" Olivia asked.
"Yes, he works for them, believe me he's not a trafficker he's just, just...
"Trying to earn a living"
"Yeah"
"Yeah" Olivia said.
"How did you know, how did you find out, did he tell you?" she asked.
"No but Molly did, she warned me about dad she said he was bad news but I called her crazy" Olivia said as she sighed silently slightly tilting her head.
"I missed him mom,I know it's wrong but I still do, the warm smile his warm embrace, how could money change him so much" Olivia said as she hugged her mom.
"I was also blinded Olivia but you don't see me crying" her mom said silently as she brushed her hair with her hands.
"Well we're leaving soon and my back is killing me" she said as she moved slightly.
"Good night,mom"
"Good night, I'll go grab a snack first" she said as she yawned leaving Olivia alone.
Olivia walked to her room and as she opened the door she noticed Dave who seemed slightly angry.
"Why didn't you say anything? what happened to Josaphine" Dave said as he diverted his gaze from her.
"I couldn't tell you she was kidnapped" Olivia yelled back as she noticed Dave's eyes had widened.
"Kidnapped?" he asked as he looked at Olivia slightly confused.
