The next two days passed slowly for the two people in Isadora's house. By day they entertained each other as best they could. Telling stories, playing chess or other simple board games that Isadora had in her wardrobe, a deck of cards for Poltrafi (a betting card game) and their own imagination…
All while outside for the next two days, lawlessness and panic reigned.
Several times, the two people in the house pretended either not to be home or magically fortified the door to prevent entry. Despite the long nights nothing happened despite them sharing a bed together as well. (At Isadora's insistence) Nobody of importance came, until the late morning of the third day. It was obvious, however, that they were under observation for a good part of both days however, hence them sleeping in the same bed.
The knock on the door sounded official and Gerald called out before answering.
"Who is it?"
