<p>Rebecca's absence at the party wasn't for long, though she did return without her mother. Rory likewise left early, stating that he'd drunk too much. His wife wasn't fooled, obviously, and watched him go with curiosity but not suspicion. Some had questioned where their leader was during the party and Hermina was beside herself, having shown up very late into the night after taking the time to make herself 'look more presentable'. </p>

<p>Lydia assumed that something was up and had informed her that Gerald was up to some business that had come, but her brain was also on the missing Necromancer. Gerald delayed for as long as he could, even until just before midnight. The announcement was brief and to the point, and everyone was not happy about that. </p>
