Chapter 19 Trip to Paris 2

Ritz Paris, a luxury hotel in Paris. Mr. and Mrs. Bakamori loved this hotel so much that every couple that wins the Valentine's Day dance always gets the opportunity to stay here for three weeks.

"Hello, Mrs. Narumi we have been expecting you." A short man in his mid twenties dressed in black and white suits greeted them. His brown hair was slightly disheveled, and he had an unreadable expression on his face. He was smiling, and his eyes were bright.

'A grand welcome for the winning couple, huh?' Narumi thought.

"This place is so beautiful." Akiko yelled. She always behaved like a child whenever she was in a new environment, and that includes the hotel or even just seeing a city; she couldn't contain herself. Her hands went up to her mouth, and her eyes lit up, showing off the cute little dimples of hers as she smiled.

"Your respective room keys, a honeymoon suit for Mr. and Mrs. Tsukumo." The young man handed her two gold key chains with a heart-shaped charm hanging between them.

'The hearts are matching.' Narumi observed.

"Miss Akiko, here is your room key." The young man handed over another key to Akiko.

Then he turned to Yuki and smiled.

"For you, Mrs. Hinode." He offered a golden key to Yuki.

"Thank you," they all said at the same time.

"Oh my Narumi, you have arrived." They all looked towards the end of the corridor, where a woman was walking in. Mrs. Bakamori was dressed in a simple white sundress and had flowing red hair tied up in a bun. Her husband, Ryo, wore a grey suit along with a blue shirt.

"Hello, Mrs. Bakamori." Narumi replied with a warm smile.

"Oh, please, we are friends who have a little age gap. Call me by my name." She insisted.

"Pardon me, Akari, but I thought you would still be mad at me, that's why." Narumi apologized.

"I am not mad anymore." Akari chuckled.

"That's good," Narumi replied.

"Akari I need to..." A woman's voice was heard from the same corridor.

'You have got to be kidding me.'  Narumi mentally groaned when she saw who it was.

"Aoi, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"Narumi, you have arrived." Aoi said.   She turned to Yuki and Akiko, who were giving her death glares.

"Aoi and her husband came along with us. She's my friend and also pregnant, so I want to take care of her." Akari explained and smiled sweetly.

"Aunt!  Akiko!"  Aoi yelled and rushed to them. She pulled Akiko into a hug, but the girl pushed her away.

"Don't you dare touch me!" Akiko growled.

"Oh my!  You have become such a beautiful little cousin." Aoi  cooed.

Yuki, Akiko, and Narumi watched in horror as she kept on saying nice stuff.

"If you would excuse me, I think we have to get our rooms." Narumi interrupted before things escalated. She could see how Akiko was getting annoyed by Aoi, and the last thing she wanted was drama on the first day of a vacation.

"That's alright."  Akari waved her hand dismissively. "I hope you can join us tonight for a couple's night."

"Of course we will." Narumi replied.  She smiled and gave Aoi a death glare before leaving with Daiki. Akiko and Yuki followed suit, muttering profanities under their breath and glaring at Aoi.

'Gosh she is so annoying. Her fake smile is creepy. Narumi thought.  She tried to suppress her urge to punch Aoi, but it was really hard.

As soon as they reached their rooms, Daiki couldn't believe what his eyes were seeing. The honeymoon suit was so beautiful and looked so romantic.

"Close your mouth because you look stupid like that." Narumi rolled her eyes before touching one of the petals on the bed. She sighed and looked around.

"Mrs. Narumi, you are used to this kind of experience, but unfortunately I'm not, so my reaction is normal." Daiki mumbled.

"I have told you to be calling me by my name so that you can get used to it." Narumi responded and glared at him again. "I don't want you to call me that in public."

"Yes, dear wife." He grinned.

"Don't you ever say that again." Narumi replied in a stern tone, then sat on the bed, crossed her legs, and folded her hands together.

'Why does she look so intimating and beautiful?' He thought.

Narumi just stared down Daiki, who was standing there, staring back at her.

The poor guy gulped and scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"So where should we put our luggage?" He spoke up after a while, avoiding eye contact and shifting from foot to foot.

"In the closet. Where else?"  She replied curtly.

"Relax, ice queen," he scoffed, but did as told anyway.

"Don't call me that." She frowned

"Why not?"   Daiki replied with genuine confusion.

"Just shut up." Narumi rolled her eyes. "We need to plan how we will sleep in this room."

"Oh, it's easy; you take the bed and I will use the sofa." Daiki suggested nonchalantly.

"This is not a romantic comedy where the guy does all that nonsense." Narumi retorted.  "We just have to share the bed, but there will be pillows in between us."

"Whatever you say." He shrugged.   Narumi narrowed her eyes at him.

'He's so annoying.'   Narumi thought. 'Why must he act so childish?'

She grabbed him by the collar of his suit and dragged him close to her.

"Listen to me, this marriage may be fake, but I am still your boss, so don't push me."

She whispered into his ear.

Daiki froze and gulped. She looked so scary and sexy right now. Her crimson lips and ice blue eyes almost seemed to hypnotize him; he couldn't move a muscle.

'Fuck!' he cursed internally.

Suddenly, she let go of him and started pacing about the room. Daiki could only stare after her, trying to process what had happened.

'I need to get my feelings under control.' He thought as he ran his hands through his hair.
