Last outing

The car ride to their next destination was quiet. Narumi had no regrets for slapping that waitress, she tried to talk to her man so she deserves it.

'My man?' She muttered. 'Is this what jealousy feels like?'

It felt like a foreign feeling in her system now, an alien one, but still, it made sense now.

"Narumi." Daiki started but kept quiet after being given a dirty glare.

"If you should talk about what happened at that bakery then I will kill you." Narumi warned. Her words were sharp and cold.

"I wasn't going to ask anything but can know something? Didn't you pity that girl even a little bit, that slap was really hard?" He laughed before steering the wheel left and right to avoid obstacles.

"She should have thought about the consequences before trying to flirt with you." Narumi said.

'Today is a really weird day. I stopped Daiki from leaving the hotel spring completely naked, held his arm, fed him and slapped a lady because she dropped her number for him.' She mused as she looked out of the window at the dark night, clouds blocked out most of the moonlight which made it almost pitch black outside.

The last thing was a boat ride, a romantic one.

"I wonder how many ladies will stare at you when we get there. Back in Japan all they did was write love letters but now they hit on you every day." Narumi commented sarcastically before looking out the window again as the road got narrower. They were nearing the ocean.

"I will ask you again, are you jealous?" Daiki smirked.

"Of course not." Narumi denied and pouted.

'I do feel jealous but I don't why, it's not like as I have strong feelings for him so why the jealousy?' She asked herself over and over again.

The roads weren't too dangerous yet so Daiki drove slowly, enjoying the scenery around them. The air felt warm and humid, it smelled salty and the wind blew gently against their faces. It was a beautiful sight.

"I'm asking because you are behaving like a jealous wife who will nag every time she sees her man with a lady." Daiki sniggered. "This makes me think you're jealous because-" he turned off the engine and took off the seatbelt.

"Whatever." Narumi said before getting out of the car. It was time for their boat ride.

'I will be fine as long as no lady tries to hit on him.' Narumi told herself before following the host towards the boat but she was completely wrong. Daiki bumped into a woman while he was trying to keep his pace, the lady was completely memorized by his body and was just staring at it with eyes sparkling with desire.

"I'm so sorry ma'am." Daiki said. "Are you hurt?"

"Of course I am not but you could still come and take care of me handsome." The lady cooed seductively and grabbed Daiki's arm. Narumi wanted to punch her face with her purse.

'When did he become a light that attracts women to him?' Narumi wondered while holding her breath.

He laughed awkwardly. "I am a married man, this is my wife beside me." Daiki introduced Narumi but the lady was still staring at him so intently she was practically drooling.

"I don't mind even if you are a married man, you look so delicious." She continued, moving closer to Daiki. She reached her hand out to touch his shoulder but Narumi stopped her.

"Don't be a shamless woman, leave my husband alone." Narumi snapped.

Her words hit the lady really hard because she left without saying a word.

"She's gone, let's go." Daiki said but Narumi didn't move a muscle. "What's wrong?"

"I don't like the fact that different ladies have approached you in a day." Narumi muttered.

"Are you jealous?" Daiki asked, his question made Narumi angry because she helded by his collar and pulled him closer.

"Yes I am jealous, I don't why but you are my husband even if it's just a contract marriage!" She snapped. "For a year and two months you are my husband. My man even went don't have a romantic relationship!"

Daiki smirked, he came closer to Narumi and as he did she could hear her heart beat.

'Is he trying to kiss me?' She thought but Daiki just whispered into her ears.

"Yes ma'am. Whatever you say." He said, his breath fanning her skin. Narumi couldn't believe what was happening. They eventually got on their boat and went on a ride.

Daiki looked at Narumi and smiled.

'Maybe Akiko was right, there might be hope for this relationship.' He thought before looking at the sky.
