Narumi stared at him incredulously. "What?"


Daiki swallowed visibly. "I think it's best for both of us if we just end the marriage as soon as possible. Maybe even sooner than that, considering the way things are right now."


"How can you say that?" Narumi's eyes widened. "This marriage was supposed to last for a year and a month. Do you want to ruin my reputation even further?"


"What?! Why do you care about what other people think?" Daiki exclaimed angrily. "If Aoi is responsible for this, then we can expose her during the court trial; nobody will blame you, and it can make you earn the people's support and sympathy."


"You can't just end everything like that. How are you sure that what you are saying will happen?" Narumi raised an eyebrow.


"Trust me, it will." Daiki said it firmly. "But this pretend marriage can't continue."
