Chapter 44: Lunch

Summer came early in Tokyo, with the first heat of the year finally warming the once frigid air that was now a balmy balm after a few weeks of rain. The city had become something of an oasis for tourists looking to soak up as much sunshine as possible before it became too cold and rainy. Narumi was a huge fan of this particular season, so she spent most of it indoors with a warm cup of tea or coffee. Everything has been calm for now. Aoi and Minato were found guilty of drug possession and trafficking, so they were put away for about five years, but not in prison because of her baby; it was like a house arrest. Their company has also disbanded completely.

'Oh well, good riddance.' She mused aloud to herself. Her fame skyrocketed even more because of the award she won during The Fortune Magazine Award Ceremony; her perfumes were being sold at a record profit every time. Everything was perfect for the moment.
