Daiki didn't want to leave Narumi alone after what happened, but he wanted to speak to Emily about everything that happened. He wanted to know if this was a misunderstanding or a planned attempt to undermine Narumi's reputation. If, by chance, it was the latter, then Daiki had no intention of keeping Emi close to him.

"Why did you want to see Daiki?" A voice from his other side interrupted his train of thought. He turned on his heel immediately and saw Emi standing by the entrance of the room with her hand on her hip.

"Don't ask such a question, Emi; you know why I called you here." He replied.

Her eyes narrowed in an obvious glare, but she took a deep breath before speaking. "If it's regarding what happened inside, there's no need to ask that. The paintings that were displayed belonged to my family, not Narumi." She said.

He looked at her for a moment; she looked kind of tensed.
