Moon's Laughter

Shigi returned; bearing a heavy pouch of golden coins, which, with a soft thud, he placed upon the table. And as a couple coins spilled out, jingles reverberated across the room, that awoke the slumbering Jae-sung, who, rubbing his bleary eyes, was struck with amazement.

With a smile, Jae-sung got out of bed and approached the table. Picking up a coin - feeling its weight - its ridges, and letting it run through his fingers.

"Ah, the beauty of passive income," he mused.

Despite the grandeur of the gold, Jae-sung didn't worry about Shigi. He knew that the puppet couldn't feel pain, as it wasn't entirely sentient. Its existence was tied to Jae-sung's, so its primary focus was the betterment of its companion.

Shigi spoke with conviction: "The tally of beasts defeated by my hand grows ever longer, my friend. Of the brutish yeti, I have felled three. Of the fiendish wendigos, I have laid no fewer than a dozen. And of the equine centaurs, I have struck down six. To vanquish the latter, I utilized a blade formed within my arm, its curves beset with long serrations that proved most efficacious."

Jae-sung interjected: "Ah, but tell me more of the materials you have acquired."

Shigi, with a voice as clear as morning dew, replied, "I excavated the echoes of souls in the form of Soul's Echo, a crystal as fragile as a dream. And, I came upon Moon's Laughter, a mineral that twinkled with mirth and Night's Shadow, a mineral as dark as the midnight skies, capable of capturing even the faintest light. And with cunning wire, I wove a cage to hold these precious gifts."

Jae-sung beheld Shigi's triumphs with a sense of profound satisfaction, his soul ablaze with admiration for the valiant deeds achieved. But his contemplation was abruptly shattered by the ringing of his financial institution's alert.

With eager hands, he pulled out his phone and logged into his account, only to be met with a delightful surprise. A substantial sum of won had been credited to his account, a reward for his valiant participation in the recent skirmish.

With the newfound currency at his disposal, coupled with the steady income generated by Shigi, Jae-sung came to a reasonable conclusion. He could now break free from the confines of the campus and procure a dwelling of his own, a place to call home.

And then, after an exhaustive search, he finally found it. A sleek and modern condo, with walls of gleaming glass and a roof of stainless steel. It was a marvel of contemporary architecture, and Jae-sung knew without a doubt that this was the place for him.

With a sense of excitement, he pushed open the door and stepped inside. The interior was a feast for the senses, with clean lines, bold colors, and cutting-edges at every turn. The living room was a showcase of minimalism, with plush furniture of white leather and a stunning wall of windows that offered panoramic views of the city.

Jae-sung continued his tour, exploring each room with a sense of awe. The kitchen was a work of art, with appliances of stainless steel and counters of gleaming granite. The bedrooms were designed for comfort and convenience, with plush bedding, and breathtaking views of the skyline. And the bathrooms were a spa-like experience, with rainfall showers and deep soaking tubs, perfect for relaxing after a long day.

With a sense of pride, Jae-sung gazed upon his new home, a sanctuary of modernity and sophistication.

Jae-sung relished his new abode for a time, feeling a sense of rejuvenation. And so, he set his sights on a new dungeon, eager to test his mettle against the unknown.
