A Twinge of Disappointment

As Morgan finished his latte, he leaned back in his chair and looked at Melody thoughtfully. "You know, Mel, I have to say that I really enjoy spending time with you outside of work. You're such an interesting and intelligent person."

Melody blushed at the compliment, feeling a flutter in her stomach. She had always found Morgan attractive, but she had been trying to keep her feelings in check. She wasn't sure where this conversation was going, but she was curious to find out.

"I enjoy it too. It's nice to have a break from work and just relax for a bit."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Sometimes it feels like work is all we ever do. But you know, Mel, I was thinking... maybe we could do something fun together sometime. Maybe go to a concert or a museum or something." He leaned in with a sly grin on his face. "Or we could take up extreme knitting! I hear it's all the rage these days."
