Morgan looked at Melody, who sat on the couch with a tense expression, cradling Dashiell in her arms.
"See? I told you. A paternity test is necessary."
"And I told you I don't need one," Morgan shot back firmly.
"It's alright, Morgan. I understand their concerns," Melody said, her voice calm but carrying an undertone of frustration. "But I know the truth about their concerns, and that's enough for me."
"What are you going to do about that?"
"I'm definitely going to get a paternity test done, regardless of anyone's opinion. I won't let anyone label me as a gold-digger," she exclaimed, gently cradling the baby in her arms. "This is why marriage doesn't seem like a feasible option for me in the first place. How could anyone believe that we're genuinely in love?"
"Mel, we're going to prove them wrong. We'll show them that our love is real, and that we're committed to each other and to our son. We'll face whatever challenges come our way together."
