'Where am I?'
Shiro thought as he found himself in an unfamiliar environment; the last thing he remembered was killing a man in order to preserve his phoenix soul flower.
Shiro turned around in confusion, only to find himself alone in an empty place. The area was blank and empty, with the exception of a gap through which a bright light shone. The fracture grew over time until it became a gigantic hole releasing a light as bright as the sun.
Shiro's interest was immediately sparked as he began to moving towards the light.
"Not yet my lord, the time is not right to return"
A voice resounded through Shiro's mind immediately sending Shiro out of the space.
********
Shiro awoke from his slumber when he heard a voice. He was perplexed; how had he ended up here? What became of the blank space? Was it all a dream?
Shiro's mind was filled with too many questions as he struggled to organize his thoughts.
"Where am I?"
Shiro inquired, his gaze fixed on the beauty who stood at the door side. Shiro was shocked to find himself in a building; he had considered visiting a human village, but he hadn't expected it to be this straightforward.
Using Martial Awareness to scan his surroundings Shiro was able to discern the basic layout of the building he was currently in. The building itself wasn't large, average at best was the highest it could be called, the inner parts were well kept and each room had an array placed around it for ensuing ones privacy.
"We found you lying out cold in the forest when my parents suddenly decided to bring you back"
The girl answered honestly to Shiro's question hoping to calm him down even a little. Shiro scanned the girl with his martial awareness, she was a girl who looked a little younger than him, and she was a little shorter, but what shocked Shiro most was her cultivation
'Third stage elemental enhancement realm, over an entire realm higher than mine'
This thought terrified Shiro to no end, she could easily swat him like a fly if she wanted to.
Shiro instantly got up as he prepared to leave the home, one of his primary aims for visiting a village was to collect decent equipment and refill on food supplies, Shiro was forced to defend himself without any weapons during his stay in the wilderness, even getting food to eat had become extremely difficult.
Fed up with that type of life, Shiro began making his way to the door, he needed to explore the village and see what he could get out of it before setting out again.
"Don't you think you should at least wait for my parents to come back? Your injuries aren't even healed"
The girl inquired as she desperately tried to prevent Shiro from leaving; his injuries were severe and had yet to heal.
"Don't be concerned; I'll be fine."
Shiro reassured the girl as he removed the bandage from his chest.
When the girl took another look at Shiro, she couldn't help but feel flushed. Shiro's body, despite being lanky, was well built; his pale complexion matched his pure dark colored hair; his eyes were grey in color, indicating blindness; and the impression he gave off was that of someone whose life had been a complete disaster.
"I'm Eris Wang"
The girl said after realizing that she still hadn't introduced herself.
"Shiro- Shiro Kusikage"
Eris was the first person Shiro had had a normal conversation with since he reincarnated.
"So why were you lying down out in the forest?"
"No reason"
"..."
With nothing in particular to talk about, their conversation came to an abrupt end.
Shiro in particular didn't hate the silence, instead he saw it as an opportunity to put all his memories together, he sat down back on the bed, and began to meditate on the last few incidents. A lot had happened since he reincarnated and it was getting harder to focus on his goal.
He hadn't attained the amount of cultivation he thought he would have gotten by now. Although he had managed to break through into the Body transformation realm in a single day which was a lot more difficult and time consuming for others, Shiro still found his performances painfully lacking. As a reincarnated god, Shiro had expected himself to already be getting ready for a breakthrough into the blood replacement realm, however, contrary to his expectations, he was still in the body transformation realm.
'I guess that's why I was easily betrayed'
Shiro closed his eyes as he recalled the incidents that led to his reincarnation.
The title of the strongest god to ever walk the upper heavens was given to him as a mockery when he tried to duel the god of war, Bijamoun.
Shiro was the weakest god, even among the non-combat gods, although being an important part of the four realms, his ability to fight was nearly non-existent.
With his law being the law of comprehension, Shiro had the ability to learn and master nearly every skill and battle technique to a basic level of understanding, however, due to the restrictions placed on him by the heavens, he was unable to use those skills and techniques, but now, he had died and reincarnated, his name had been wiped out clean from the heaven's book, releasing him from the restrictions he once faced. Shiro was prepared, he was prepared to pay a visit to all those who had once wronged him, he was prepared to carve a part of blood just to accomplish his goals, he was going to be ruthless and dominant, all those things he could forgive in the past were going to be the reason a lot of people die.
He was tired of living a pathos life, a life were everyone who passed him threw him glances of pity. It was over, it was time to start anew.
Vengeance was his goal, and he was going to achieve it, no matter the path he had to follow.
With more vigor in his eyes, Shiro jumped out of the bed only to meet six pair of eyes staring at him in confusion.
Eris's parents had returned and had been trying to wake Shiro up from his thought process for a very long time, getting concerned that something might had happened to him, her parents decided to leave Shiro to wake up by himself, however, the speed at which Shiro jumped out of the bed startled them.
Who could blame them? Nobody had expected Shiro to suddenly jump out of the bed like that.
Seeing their confused faces, Shiro also became confused.
Why were they staring at him like that?
This confusion lasted for a good while until, Eris's father suddenly decided to break the silence.
"Hmm- hmm…"
He coughed to clear his voice before continuing,
"I am Eris's father, my name is Yato… Yato Wang and I am the chief of this tiny village"
