Chapter 11: Dream

"I believe I can fly. I believe I can touch the sky."

"My son, you're the only one can save our kingdom. Please don't let us down."

"Mom, what are you talking about?"

"Your father and I loves you very much. We're very proud of you."

What is this place? Why I am here? "Mom, where are you?"

Why mom is suddenly disappeared? We're not having talked much. She would be here with me.

"Mom." I called her again but she didn't replied.

I walked towards the gardens that surround of plants, trees and flowers. This place is quite peaceful. It has a huge area. If I'm going to see the whole area, one day would not be enough. I need to find my mother where she is.

As I passed to the flowers, a clear river enchanted me with its majestic crystal waters.

"Wow. This is incredible."

I couldn't believe that there's a river here. The day is bright and the place is relaxing. I touch the water and it gave me nostalgic. Suddenly, I’ve seen events, images in my head. What is this?

“You’ll never be king. Never.”

He slapped the man. The images are blurred so I can’t see clearly who these people is. But by the looks of this scene, it’s not simple, it implies destruction.

“I will kill your son. And I will be the king of the kingdom. No one can stop me. Not even the Almighty God can destroy me.”

“You’re mocking the Most High.” The man said loudly even if he’s in deep pain because of too much loss of blood.

“You’re a devil.” The woman said angrily. “I couldn’t believe you. “You sold your soul to the devil in order to gain power. You’ll be burned in hell.”

He slapped the woman and the woman fell on the ground. The man who’s a mark on his forehead laughed and mock the man and the woman. I think this man and woman are couple because they hold their hands.

“You’re no longer be part of my plans. Killing you is the final part so that I can execute the next plan.”

He laughed like a demon. His armies also laughed with him. He is a beast. Why would he kill these people? Who is he? And the couple, who are they?

“Even if we die, surely, justice will prevail and peace reign in the entire kingdom. And you, will rot in hell forever."

“Ah!!! He screamed in pain as the man gave him an electric blow.

The woman cried out load and calling the name of the man. But wait, why is it the same with my father’s name?

“My father!” I shouted.

“Your Highness, are you okay?”

I thought it is true. I’m just having a dream. Thank God. It is only a dream.

"I'm fine."

"Here, drink this. You're having a nightmare."

"Thank you."

"What time is it?"

"It's 4 in the morning your highness! You should go back to sleep." I nodded.

I thought it's real. Thank God it's not. But, why I feel heavy in my heart? Why is there emptiness? No, it can't be. I'm just paranoid. Maybe, I miss my parent's. That's it. There's no other reason.

I heard a scream from my people. I cannot even speak. I did it. I won. I passed the missions. Thank you Lord Almighty. I chose the right one. The Bread of Life. Wow, this is wonderful.

"My son!" I heard a voice again. The same voice who told me to choose the no. 8 plate. "Who are you."

"I am who I am."

"Thank you Lord Almighty."

"Lead my people according to my will. Follow all my commands. Take care of your kingdom. I will always here for you. Call always my name and I'll be there."

"Yes!" Then the light disappeared.

"Whoah!"

"Congratulations, your highness!"

"Hail to our New King, King Aldrich!"

Everyone is happy for the result. They dance. They sing. We celebrate for my mission success.

Now, I can finally say, I am their New King. All praise and glory to my Lord Almighty.

"This missions is one of the most unforgettable. I will never forget this your highness. You're amazing."

"Thank you Heneral Melchor. Thank you my people. My victory is also your victory. Cheers for my mission's success."

"Cheers!"

"Long live King Aldrich!"

"Long live!"

This is the start of the next chapter of my life. I promise you I'll be with you all the time.

"What's on your mind?"

I heard a voice from somewhere. "A penny of your thoughts?"

"Eurylice?"

"Yes, your highness! Congratulations!"

"Thank you. But, where are you?"

"Secret."

I frowned. "Don't make me guess. Where are you?"

Suddenly, I was transferred to a clean river. The same river I saw in my dream. I was stunned for a moment.

"Are you alright, your highness?" Eurylice asked curiously.

"I'm fine. I just couldn't believe that this river is really here."

"Oh! This is the most majestic river I've ever seen in the entire kingdom. I guess this is your first time. Come, join me to look around this area. You'll be fascinating."

It's enchanted. I never thought that this beauty makes me feel at ease. Thanks to this lady beside me. I feel relief.

"You know, you can tell me what's bothering you." I looked at her. She smiled at me.

"They say that when you tell someone about your feelings, or could it be problems, it can create a nice solution."

"Did you read my thoughts?" She frowned.

"No! I don't like to invade your privacy. At first, I read it because I want to know you. I have to protect myself from stranger. But now, you're not a stranger to me."

"Then who am I to you?" I think I blushed. Gosh! What I'm thinking?

"Our Ki......" I stopped midair since someone is calling.

I heard a voices of somewhere. I think they are looking for our King.

"Did you hear that?"

"Hear? I don't know what you're talking about. Common, who am I to you again?"

"Wait, you didn't hear anything?"

"No! Why? What did you hear?"

Crap! I'm the only one can hear it.

"Your highness, where are you? The Kingdom needs your help."

"The kingdom is in danger. Let's go."

"What?"

"Just listen Rich, you need to go back now. Go back to the palace as soon as possible. I'll see you around."

"Wait, what did you call me?"

"Rich! Now go. Time is running."

Then in a snap, I am back in the venue. This lady is unpredictable and unstoppable. But, what does she mean that I need to go back to the palace as soon as possible? Could it be that there's something wrong? It could be as well related to my dream?
