He pulled the covers off, realizing that Diana would never change his stubborn mind. "I have to check the computer to see if Ross is responding."
"Okay. I'll prepare us something to eat."
"Hmm, a man cooking. What else would a girl want?"
His hand went to his stomach.
"So much loving… I know. But we have to get going. Are you going to change it?"
She buried her face in her hair as her fingers slid down. "I brought my bag this morning."
His actions warmed him, but he fought to fulfill his aspirations. "Is there anything black?"
"As dark as the midnight sky when the moon is new."
"Alright." He turned and kissed her lips.
He didn't kiss her, just gave her a half smile. She didn't want to get too tired, she thought, if she couldn't ease her pain for him. A little disappointed, he loved the way he showed her the intense side of his feelings for her. But he was right... calm down.
