Luke’s concern when she’d suggested her plan wasn’t because he thought it would be difficult to achieve. What he’d worried about was the fact that Clarisse wanted to lead the said mission herself. Aside from the fact that he was worried for her, Luke also was concerned about her inner wolf and her inability to shift to her wolf form.
“You can’t lead the scouting mission, Clarisse,” Luke said firmly, “Tell me, can you shift to your wolf form now, or are you still struggling?”
Clarisse bit her lip as she lowered her head and said, “Not yet. But she is giving me back my strength slowly. We have backup, and I know our territory just as much as Declan does. I should be the one leading.”
Shaking his head, Luke said, “You can’t go to battle when you can’t shift to your wolf form, my love. You might feel strong, but when you are injured in your wolf form, healing is quick compared to when you are injured in your human form.”
