Weariness Ensures

Sun Order, Northern City of the New Moon.

In a particular dark, but spacious room, many chairs that complemented the dark atmosphere sat facing each other.

Over the course of time, many figures appeared and sat within these chairs. Though, after it seemed as if everyone had arrived, many of these chairs remained empty.

While all of these chairs faced one another, one chair sat at the attention of all.

"Sun Emperor"

The many gather figures respectively greeted the head of the order, the Sun Emperor.

"You may speak"

The man hidden within the shadows nodded, slightly walking into view.

"Acting on intel from a protector we had sent out, we believe a powerful expert was sent by the Aster Grounds in an effort to obtain an item of extreme value."

The Sun Emperor sat up in his chair, his eyes at attention.

"We've further affirmed such a claim with the elders that were sent out to intercept them. As there has not been a response hours past their appointed time, their death is all that could be assumed."

The Sun Emperors face darkened. His eyes wandered around the empty seat before eyeing the man who spoke once more, resting back into his seat.

"Huang, I hope you have found your bout worth the loss of power we had just suffered."

The man slightly shuddered before he hurriedly bowed and responded, sweat trickling down his face.

"It is an error on my behalf, Sun Emperor. Though, I do not see this as a complete loss as we have now confirmed another great power within the grounds. A girl, with pink hair and brown eyes, as strong as the grounds master we assume, is moving among their ranks. This valuable intel should be shared among the other powers of the city, the Aster Grounds may be planning actions concerning the wellbeing and the further existence of our factions."

The Sun Emperor shook his head.

"The Aster Grounds know too well what result of such a confrontation would have on the city, the imperial sent would not stand still should such an event occur. They are but foolish to attempt such a charade."

The man slowly sat further down into his chair, seeing as his attempt at justifying the losses wearying .

"It is my mistake, Emperor. But I feel the other powers would be interested in such information."

The Sun Emperor nodded, finally agreeing on something.

"Yes, it is in our best interests to allow others to know of this as well…"

The Sun Emperor stared into the blank ceiling.

"I'm sure they are having their own problems as well."

Muran Palace, Southern City of the New Moon

"Based on the information relayed to us, it is not bold to assume the conspiracy's surrounding the Aster Grounds. They not only took out our sent elders, but also did so along with the Sun Order? I don't believe the Aster Grounds to be idle with such an expert dispatched."

A powerful figure, sitting across to the man speaking, albeit in a taller and grander chair, nodded.

"I too agree, elder, we'll just have to wait and see what the others plan to do."

Ocean Sanctuary, Eastern City of the New Moon

"Then you agree, Monarch of the Ocean?"

A man clad in royal blue robes stared down at his kneeling elder.

"Preparations only ensure we are prepared. Make no haste with offensive actions, we will keep hidden our hand."

The elder nodded as he left the room, leaving the monarch of the ocean pondering.

Aster Grounds, Western City of the New Moon

Jilun quietly followed the ice beauty in front of him. He tried to distract himself by thinking of his family, how they were doing, his future life here and what awaited him in the future.

But the girl named Xuanyin was really a bright light within a dark room full of moths. All is attracted to her radiance no matter the resolution. With this, Jilun came to the obvious conclusion to just remain quiet and stare off in a day dream, or at least he tried.

But, he was able to control himself from pouncing on her for the duration for a walk that seemed to last forever, before they walked in front of a fancy golden brown door.

She stood in front of Jilun, turning to face him before pointing at the door knob. Her ethereal voice spoke out.

"Residences of the Aster Grounds have special knobs that keep and remember your aura. This is done so that only you could open the door."

Jilun stared at her, lost in her gaze. He was already reaching his breaking point. Even the years of seduction he received from Jia didn't help him survive this calamity. Well, it also didn't help that she was much more elegant and reserved than the rough and rowdy Jia, giving off the different feeling of a pure and innocent beauty.

Seeing Jilun still as the building itself, she reached out her hand, grabbing his before placing it on the door knob. Her cold eyes eyed him.

"I don't have so much time as to lay waiting for your action."

Jilun snapped out of her hypnosis as he quickly grabbed the door knob. A strange feeling circulated through his body, but that wasn't the feeling he paid most attention too. Instead, her warm but at the same time cold, silky skin pressed against the top of his hand. The feeling was heavenly, and he would been even more surprised if he'd known that she had never actually touched another being within the grounds.

After the synchronization process with the room was complete, the door opened.

Realizing his route of escape, Jilun quickly bowed to her once more.

"I appreciate the time which you have given me, I will not forget this favor. As it is late, I will be first to head to bed. Goodnight."

Jilun turned around and quickly headed into the room, softly closing the door behind his as to not be rude.

Xuanyin only looked at the door with the same indifferent eyes.

"I shall accept your favor soon."

Her eyes suddenly brightened, a smile that could melt even the core of the sun appeared on her face.

Jilun was tired, the most he had been in his life. It wasn't due to hard work or anything of the sort, instead, it was due to the extreme mental torture and exhaustion. Having to make a constantly moving carriage your home for months hadn't really had a good impact on his soul.

He was truly glad that Jia had come, or else he might've killed himself with boredom and insanity.

As such, as soon as Jilun approached the bed, he collapsed into it, not a bother about cleanliness or changing clothes.

He immediately fell into deep sleep, not a thought spared for anything in the world.

Not much time later, a white figure manifested into his room.

Ensuring he was completely asleep, she slowly approached him. If Jilun was awake, the all too familiar and the girl forever engraved with in his memory, Xuanyin would be the culprit.

She neared him, and for a moment started at his face. A light smile appeared on her otherwise indifferent face. Jilun was sleeping with his face upwards, barely covered by the blanket resting on his bed. She got on top of him, her weight lighter than a feather, almost as if she didn't exist. Her legs wrapped around him to hug his waist as she faced him.

"I've waited for this for so long…"

She brought her head close to him, but a breath away. Her two luscious lips fell upon his, savoring the moment with every passing second.

Her tongue broke through the prison of his lips and into his mouth, her eyes shining the infinite blue in pleasure. White wings shrouded from her back, curling around him like a cocoon. She caressed his chest through the clothes he wore, slowly undressing him. But in the midst of her joy, she suddenly paused.

"You'll be mine soon, only now isn't the time."

*SHIIIWISH*

Hundreds of blood spikes suddenly appeared from the floor, it's target the angelic being resting upon Jiluns chest.

Though, without a care in the world, she stood still, eyeing the incoming spikes. Her blue eyes shone, immediately causing the spikes to turn to red blood.

She calmly looked behind her, a blood red figure entering her vision. She spoke indifferently.

"You know you can't disturb the timeline, otherwise, it will be just like every other time."

Her pure cold eyes stared down her enemy of eternity.

"And you wouldn't think I know that?"

Jia's blood red eyes shone into Xuanyin soul, though it seemed to have no effect on her. Instead, she rested her head upon Jiluns chest. With her beautiful blue eyes, she taunted, her eyebrows raising in amusement.

"Again?"

A/N: In case you didn't know, Xuanyin and the Aster Grounds protector are the same person.
