Inventing the telephone.....i

That night, the meal was lively as all were celebrating Nerdy's first successful experiment, they drank and made merry.

Wanjiru didn't restrict them as he wanted everyone to get along and have a sence of belonging.

These sixteen were going to play a major role in the establishment of his empire.

Since he couldn't go by the original plan,he chose to delay for a few days as to give the old man enough time to invent this world's first telephone.

The teleportation channel was two meters high by three metres wide. It gave off a dark-red light that made the cave quite cripy.

Wanjiru walked over and placed his palm on it...

:Fairy City

: Silver Lake City

:Dawn City

:1000 miles in any choosen direction.

Since this was just a basic teleportation channel,it only had access to the main Cities.

Wanjiru walked back to his seat and handed twenty thousand silver coins to Sinako.

"Head over to the city and purchase ten young human males, capable of fighting..."

"Yes Master..."

Sinako said as he stood to live...

"Take this with you."

He handed over the token from the slave merchant.

"Also look around for a few basic light, plant, dark and healing spells." he added this as he remembered the ladies had received nothing from him.

"Yes Master..."

Sinako stood over the teleportation channel and chose Silver Lake City for he was a Citizen there. The dark-red light engulfed him and in mere seconds,he had vanished into thin air.

The other nine men were grouped into two teams that would keep watch over the night.

Since his team was a small one,he chose to adopt the guild system as he was quite adept to it, even though this would be his first time taking up the position of a guild leader. In all the virtual reality games he played previously,he had always being a vice-guild leader as his mother had always been the guild leader.

With that decided,he decided to first raise everyone's status to citizens of Silver Lake City before regestering his guild. Officially regestering as a guild would bring him more benefits.

He walked over to the old man's corner. The old man was engrossed in his work. He still had a wide smile on his face. Wanjiru watched as the old man multi task. He was amazed at his dual writing ability. This was a skill posses by only a handful of people back on earth, yet here was one of his subordinate easily dual writing.

He was so much engrossed into the old man's working that he didn't notice how fast time flowed until the old man broke out into a loud waking up the sleeping beauties and jolting Wanjiru from him daze.

"Hahahaha....."

All eyes were on him, feeling the numerous gazes,he slowly turned and almost fell from his stool when he found his Master standing right behind him.

"Master..."

"Am sorry for giving you a scare..."he was cut off by the old man.

"No need to be sorry Master, this old one should be the one apologizing for not noticing Master's presence behind him."

He said as he bowed.

"Old man,how could I have distracted you from your work...tell us, what's this made you so happy?"

Wanjiru inquired on behalf of the rest.

"I noticed Master's look when he early on stood outside the cave. From this old man's experience,I could clearly see that Master was in a dilemma..."

The old man said as he handed him a small steel...

Looking into the steel description,an amazed look formed on Wanjiru's face.

A steel that can be used to learn basic non-combat skills.

Current Skill: None

Usage:20

"Old one,why is there no skill in it?"

"Master, one has to regester an advanced skill on it."

Hearing this Wanjiru retrieved a scroll from his storage ring.

"How does one regester a skill?"

"Master, just place the scroll on the steel but..."

Wanjiru was impatient and couldn't wait to see the outcome of regestering a skill,so he didn't wait for the old man to finish.

He did but nothing happened...a he quizzically looked at the old man.

"Master, this old man apologizes..."

Wanjiru shook his head to signal him to continue.

"One needs to be a village chief or holding an equivalent position or above to intergrade the skill on the stone."

An enlightened look appeared on Wanjiru's face...

"How long will it take you to make ten more of these?"

Nerdy pondered for a while and with a wide smile he bowed towards Wanjiru.

"Master,a day would be more than enough since I already succeeded..."

Wanjiru could tell that he had more to say so he urged him on...

"But if Master agrees, this old one would like to immediately start on researching on the telephone."

Wanjiru wasn't angered that the old man declined his request, for he knew by him giving the telephone the first priority, the Master's plan wouldn't be delayed for long.

"You have my permission, but rest first for today you truly did overwork your old bones."

"Thank you Master...."

As everyone went back to their leather hide beds,Sinako was busy haggling with the hybrid merchant.

"There is no way am giving you 9500 silver coins for these malnourished cripples, look at how thin that man is..."

"Stingy slave,I already gave you a 5% discount and yet you still want more...."

"What 5% discount, you and I know what token this is..."

Sinako said as he threw the token towards her...

"You should be know towing right now for not exposing you to my master..."

His voice was cold. Cold sweat ran down the hybrid merchant's back. She didn't expect that this slave had known of the tokens secret but chose to keep the secret from his Master.

She knew well that,if he had spoken, then it would have been the end of her and her families dark business. She knew that handing tokens with trace magic was against the code of the Shadow Corp,an organization that ran the underground world.

If she had been reported, then death would have been the least of her worries.

Understanding the position she was in,she quickly knelt and hugged Sinako's feet. The caged slaves jaws dropped as they saw this. To them, they had early on seeing this young man together with his Master,so they he was just a slave like them.

What astonished them was who exactly was his Master or what background he had that would make this slave merchant know tow to his slave.

"Rise..."

The merchant quickly rose as he genuinely thanked him.

"Don't thank me..."

He handed her a scroll...

"Apart from all these slaves,I need everything on that scrolls."

The merchant was shocked when she went through the list but remembering that the young man held her life in his hand, she quickly bowed and called the goblins to release the slaves as she handed the scroll to them.
