The men exchanged glances under their dark hoods.....
"We just came out shopping and we're mesmerized by the weapons you are selling....."
The one on the left said,his voice sounded odd as if he was masking his real ascent and age....
Wanjiru world collapsed as from that single question....he had already learnt that these men were part of the blacksmith faction that he had stolen from.
He felt a headache approaching and wondered wether karma had set out to get out.
All those thoughts seemed to have passed in a flash as he sent a sharp gaze towards the man.
"What do you mean...."
His voice was neither sharp nor soft....
The man stared at him under his hood....
"We mean no harm it just seemed like your stock of White Grade Equipment isn't running out...."
"Why ...do you want it to....?"
Another stare competition started before the black robed man gave in...
"It was just an observation... I was...."
"You must be a good observer then...."
Wanjiru had cut him short with his sarcastic complement that brought the conversation to an a cold standstill.
The tension in the room grew tenser....it wasn't until the robed man who hadn't spoken coughed that the two turned towards him...
"Youngster these days....."
He said with a sigh.
Wanjiru could tell that he was really old and not masking his ascent like the other person,as he had observed the two of them and from the minute details he picked,he had earlier on deduce that the one on the right was an old man,since his back was a little bent while seated and he kept on stretching his legs,a sign than his knee bones were aching...he also appeared to be irritated by their cold talk.
As for the one who spoke first and masked the voice,he already knew that he was a she and not a he.
"Elder one, it's not my fault your female companions...."
He said as he observed the two of them and from how their bodies reacted,he knew he had just hit the nail on the head.
The two chose to assume that they didn't hear the word female....
"We just wanted to purchase a few blue grade weapons...."
"We do have several of them but you have to wait for three days because that's when they will be delivered by our traveling merchants..."
Wanjiru said as his mind had started scheming on them.
"I see....then we shall take our leave..."
The old man stood and pulled out a communication jade slip from his storage ring....
"This is my communication jade slip, contact me when they arrive...."
He placed it on the table expecting his companion to follow behind him,but she didn't.
He was about to call her out when she asked Wanjiru a question.....
"The merchants.... when will they be arriving...?"
Her voice was angelic and alluring....to her, since she had already being discovered,she decided use her genuine voice to dissociate the attendant mind and have him reveal important information without his knowledge.....and just as she had planned....he did...
"In the afternoon...in a caravan of six wagons..."
She smiled and stood to leave thinking that her fish had bit both the hook and line,what she didn't know was that Wanjiru was not a small fish but a scheming whale that had purposely bit both hook and line so he could drag her and her boat into the deep sea before capsizing her boat and devouring everyone on it.
As she reached the threshold,she turned and in her masked voice,she asked....
" How did you know I was a woman..."
Wanjiru chuckled and pointed at the legs...
"When we men seat,we keep our thighs open...not tight shut...."
The old man who hadn't gone far sniffled his laughter when he had the attendant explanation.
The woman snorted and walked out murmuring...
"See who's a good observer now...."
The moment they left, Wanjiru had one of the shop attendants call Vicky.
Her face was all red as she walked into the back office....
"I see your face is all red..."
Wanjiru teased....
"You must be flushed from attending to your Master...."
Vicky face turned redder,she couldn't speak even though she wanted to....
"Ensure that nobody touches that communication jade slip,it is to be left where it is until my return..."
"Yes My Lord...."
She said with her head still bowed in shame....
"Also have word spread that I the fourth day, Heavens Store will be selling Blue Grade Equipment at a discounted prize...."
"Yes My Lord...."
"Also take every coin we shall earn today purchase five more pieces of dilapidated plots,one in Silver Lake City and two each in the other two cities."
Wanjiru handed her his Baron Token...
"This token is a proof of my authority....it will grant you a fifty percent discount...."
"Yes My Lord...."
She said as she took the token....
"Also don't leave before receiving some men I shall send with the a similar token. They will accompany you to each city's underground market. Your work will be paying for the slaves they choose and having then bond to you..."
This time,it took longer for her to respond but she still did in the end...
"Yes My Lord...."
Wanjiru did note the extended pause but chose not to act.
"Am headed back for the time being....I hope you shall manage everything well for me...."
"Yes My Lord...."
Wanjiru changed into a black cloak and left the store,he headed towards the teleportation channel and selected his destination. Only two people could have access to the low-tier elementary teleportation channel in his cave....that was him and Sinako.
Speaking of Sinako,he still worried about his whereabouts.
When the transportation channel lit,old man Nerdy quickly left behind what he was doing and ran over,on his hand was a weird little device that had three different jades embedded on it,and ran over....
"Welcome back my Lord...."
He said with a bow.....
Wanjiru looked at the old happy man and a thought crossed his mind....
"Yes I did..."
He said as he handed him the little weird device.
"So....this is it...?"
Wanjiru asked not sure of what he was supposed to be holding.
