CHAPTER 59

Min Hye was about to inform Dae Hyun that it was already the closing hour for work until she was greeted by the sight of another woman on Dae Hyun. She knew he wouldn't betray her, she knew the woman's motive was to seduce him since she set eyes on her and she knew very well that it was impossible for any woman to successfully gain his attention, but still, jealousy hit her like a knife stabbing her heart as she saw the sight before her.

Min Hye mechanically turned around and left the office but Dae Hyun saw the hurt in her eyes even though she still had a poker face on.

Dae Hyun gave Miss Lee a firm push off him onto the couch but she had a smile glued to her face thinking she had a chance in breaking the couple apart.

"I'll take my leave now." Miss Lee said as she scurried out of the office and out of Dae Hyun's sight. He deemed her lucky because if she hadn't left as soon as possible, he would have tore her apart limb by limb, designing his office with her bloody pieces.

He was angry at Miss Lee but more angry at himself that he didn't act quickly, he shouldn't have expected her to behave modest and be so laid back when she came close but there was no use crying over spilt milk. He would definitely kill her, but first Min Hye was his top priority.

He dashed out of the office and met Min Hye about to leave. She didn't spare him a glance even as she was aware of his presence.

"Min Hye." He called and she turned to face him.

"You don't have to explain anything, I know you didn't do anything, I just got jealous seeing you with her, that's all." She said with a small voice as usual, her face was expressionless and he couldn't decipher if she was lying or not.

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again, I promise!" He said firmly as he looked into her eyes and she nodded.

They left work to his house in silence, neither talked about Miss Lee anymore and it finally occurred to Dae Hyun that she was not only jealous but also angry.

He didn't say anymore to her and they both freshened up while he made dinner for her which was her favourite, to lighten up her mood.

Dae Hyun watched her as she barely ate the food on her plate and his sharp jaws ticked in anger, knowing how much hurt she felt because of Miss Lee and now, she was at the top of his hit list, she was definitely going to die in his hands, there was no doubt about that.

"You haven't touched your food." Dae Hyun stated out and she paused.

"I don't have any appetite." She said blankly without looking up at him. She had thought her anger would disappear in time but it just got worse, she couldn't shake off the image of another woman on him out of her head, she felt hurt and immensely jealous, she had never felt that way in her life before but now she did because of him.

"Are you still angry at me? I'm sorry... What do you want me to do?" Dae Hyun asked with a concerned expression, he didn't like seeing her hurt and all because of that annoying woman.

Min Hye kept silent, she was angry and jealous but she didn't want to make him feel bad since it wasn't his fault in anyway that the woman had thrown herself at him.

"Talk to me love." Dae Hyun said as he took her hands in his and gently caressed it in a loving way. The small action made a smile threaten to break through her lips but she managed to stifle it.

"I just hated the sight of her with you, I guess my jealousy got the better of me, I'm really sorry." She explained to him and he nodded understandingly.

"It's okay to get jealous, I get jealous too." Dae Hyun said with a short chuckle as a small smile formed on her lips.

"So.. What did she want to discuss with you?" Min Hye asked curiously even though she had an idea.

"Same as always, she came to offer a marriage contract to me." Dae Hyun explained with an irritated expression as he recalled their conversation.

Min Hye's brows knitted together when she heard him. She knew they were already getting married but yet tried to break their marriage which obviously didn't seat well with her. She knew everyone were power hungry people in the business world but she didn't expect her to stoop so low for Dae Hyun when they were obviously more powerful single business men but then it was kind of expected since he was very good looking and young as well, meanwhile the single businessmen weren't as good looking or young as they were either divorcees or not as good looking.

"That's a very cheap thing to do for a woman as powerful as her to try and break someone else's relationship." She said, her voice blank but the irritation coating it could be heard.

"I despise her too." Dae Hyun said and Min Hye focused her attention on him. His words didn't surprise her as he despised everyone and he only chose his victims for fun or when he was driven to end them and now, he had a reason to end Miss Lee. She could see the dark glint in his eyes when he thought of something dark.

"Shouldn't you lay low since you said it yourself that the police are suspecting you?" Min Hye asked, aware of his dark thoughts.

"You don't have to worry, they're only suspecting me based on their instincts, not evidence." Dae Hyun assured her with a sarcastic smirk.

"What if they stalk you and keep track of your movements?" Min Hye queried, as much as she wanted that woman dead, she didn't think it was a good idea killing anyone yet, especially the kids since he told her they were working with the police, the last thing she wanted was Dae Hyun to be locked behind bars.

"They won't, they carry out investigations strictly by police protocol, they might lose their jobs even if it's broken." Dae Hyun explained and she nodded thoughtfully. It seemed like he had educated himself on everything about the law even if he didn't live according to it.

"So..What about the kids? When are you planning to get rid of them?" She asked curiously, maybe she could get a hint of his plan. He stared at her for a second and a devilish grin spread on his lips.

"Are you worried about them?" Dae Hyun asked with a sarcastic tone and she quickly shook her head in negation.

"The kill would be much fun when they've finally found out the truth, so until then, I'll have fun playing around with them." Dae Hyun said with a dark grin but it was nowhere close to what his plans were, he was so secretive about sharing his plans with her and she wondered why.

"What if they don't figure it out then?" She asked with pure curiosity.

"They will, they're using a very smart method so they will figure it out definitely." Dae Hyun said with dark excitement visible in his eyes.

"What if they give whatever evidence they get to the police? Isn't it too risky?" Now Min Hye was worried, she'd preferred if he killed the kids immediately before they found a strong evidence that could incriminate him, she was slightly worried about the kids because they were still very young but Dae Hyun's safety mattered more to her.

"I already know what evidence they'll have and according to police protocols, it's as good as useless so there's no need for you to worry, it's impossible for anyone to get hard evidence against me and I wouldn't let them live another day if they did." Dae Hyun said confidently as he grinned darkly.

Min Hye trusted his words, he seemed so confident he wouldn't get caught which only meant he had eyes and ears on everything they did and he was obviously ten steps ahead of them in every move they made.

...

Miss Lee's phone rang with an unknown number, she picked it up with her usual arrogant tone.

"Hello who is this?" She asked with no interest in the call.

"It's Dae Hyun." She heard the other person in the line say and her face brightened with bliss.

"Oh hello how have you been? Why did you call me?" She asked with a polite voice.

"I'm having a rethink on your offer, I was hoping we could meet somewhere private." Dae Hyun suggested with a persuasive voice and her eyes widened in delight at his words.

"Of course, I knew you'd take my offer." She said with a delighted voice.

The call ended and Dae Hyun looked at Min Hye with a dark smile and she returned it.
