A long list

Soisen and Nagini left Gringotts much later. Ragnuk wanted to see them off, but he refused because he didn't want to attract any more attention for now.

When have wizards ever seen a goblin politely dismiss one of their own?

He was provided with a Gringotts bag with which he could take the money out of Chamber 1 whenever he wanted and it had all the known anti-theft measures, plus some additional ones thanks to his illustrious identity. You could say that instead of the common bag that all rich and noble families receive, he got the super deluxe version.

He asked if he could go down to the Galegold chamber, but after discovering that he would need a two-hour ride in the goblin carriages to reach the depth he was at and pass all the security measures, he shook his head and decided to visit the chamber later, perhaps next year.

As for the house and the premises, Ragnuk had different levels of information at his disposal. In fact, the premises were on the road they took to get to Gringotts, it's just that they didn't notice it until now because of how quirky the street was. Soisen updated the property in his name and obtained the key to the premises, which he intended to visit when he left Diagon Alley today.

As for the house, all he could tell her was that she needed to visit Chamber 1 to learn more about it. This piqued her curiosity, but pushed it to the back of her mind. There would be time in the future.

-What do we do now? -Nagini asked once they were a couple of blocks away from the bank, still somewhat surprised that her "master's" family was a beneficiary of the goblins.

-Let's go get some books and a few more things," Soisen stated. Now that he had substantial capital, he wanted to get some items and products to be better stocked. He also wanted to find out when Lockhart's book signing would be, because he had to be there that day so he could steal the diary before Ron's little sister unleashed a thousand-year-old basilisk on the school.

HIS school. Yes, he was in a very good mood to discover that the wily and clever Rowena Ravenclaw had been tricked back by a seemingly impossible clause. In a few years, the castle would be her property and she could decide what to do with it without Dumbledore, the school board, or even the Ministry being able to interfere.

It would be private property after all!

Now, he had no intention of updating the headmaster on the situation, lest he suffer some sort of accident due to his plans for the greater good.

His first stop was to get something better than his current trunk, which he intended to gift to his mothers for their convenience and as a portable home in case of travel. After finding out the location of the best store in that business, he discovered that they sold not only trunks, but trunks, tents like Quidditch Cup tents, etc.

He asked to see the manager for an order to his exact requirements and specifications. He considered this on his way from the elves' bench and ordered a total of three items.

The first thing he wanted to order was a necklace for Nagini, similar to a locket with the Galegold family crest on it. Due to her condition, it was similar to giving her a nameplate so she could act as his representative. But Nagini intervened and said that instead of a necklace, she preferred a choker. It was in essence a large storage and at the same time, a transporter in case of emergency with a built-in emergency shield enchantment along with some additional convenience enchantments, such as temperature control, self-cleaning and magical return to her master.

While Nagini could Apparate, should she be injured and not have enough strength, she could save the mage's life unexpectedly in front of her assailant thanks to being in direct contact with her skin. Soisen wanted to ensure the life of her totem guardian, so in the end she ended up ordering the choker with Occamy's design.

The manager was a bit puzzled, as the transfers were usually things like broken boots or glass bottles, but he made sure to write everything down. It was the customer who paid after all, and very generously.

He did stranger things in his youth! He still remembered how a customer once asked to turn a grain of sand into a shuttle....

Soisen requested for him a common looking ring with similar functions, it was terribly inconvenient to carry cauldrons, ingredients, flasks and more with him up and down during his Hogwarts days and having something like an interspatial ring was very convenient.

Finally, he asked for a suitcase of the finest dragon hide and a common leather cloak over it to conceal it with all the defensive options at his disposal and also asked for some rooms and facilities he knew he might need. Potions lab, temperature controlled rooms, kitchen, shower, dormitory with king size bed, etc....

At Hogwarts, inside his house he had all the facilities he needed, but once he returned home to Lacock, he had none of that, so he wanted to turn that suitcase into his own portable home with private study. He didn't forget to add a resize function so he could carry it with him at all times as if it were a fanny pack in its shrunken mode tucked in his back and under his tunic.

The manager was sweating as with the movement of the quill the list on the parchment got longer and longer, feeling a mixture of joy and horror. He would get a payment equivalent to working five years at once, but the amount of work was not small and the details were very precise. I would need to consult some old books again to get up to speed and perhaps contact some former colleagues.

You could say it was going to be the best and most strenuous job of his life!

-Anything else, Mr. Soisen? -although the manager was making an effort to smile, Nagini could see his gaze tremble as he saw that the parchment had hit the floor at some point in the number of specifications Soisen named.

Anyone looking at the list would think that instead of wanting to have convenient luggage with him, he was preparing a self-sufficient bunker for a long-term war!

Good boy! You seem to be an honest little wizard, shouldn't you be playing Gobstones and looking at quidditch magazines? Eating some chocolate frogs, doing some summer sightseeing, you know, kid stuff!

Even my house doesn't have these over-the-top features and defenses!

-That should be enough for the basics - Soisen thought and couldn't think of anything else at the moment -Feel free to add more stuff if you think I've left out something essential. How long will you need to finish my order?

-The basics? -The manager wanted to say a few good words to him, but his years in the industry endowed him with a unique resistance to unique customers. He took a deep breath and mapped out a workable plan in his mind before answering, "The choker and ring can be ready in two weeks. As for the latter... -he wanted to give her an estimate, he really wanted to, but he didn't dare- It will take some more time, I'll send her an owl when it's ready. But it won't be soon.

Soisen nodded, really what he needed most was the ring, he could get by during the summer with some simple instruments since his time would be limited.

-In that case, we'll stop by in two weeks in the afternoon to pick up the two items. Here is the advance you asked for," Soisen pulled out a small mountain of galleons, which the manager quickly put away while making sure no one was spying on them through the store window.

-Thank you for your trust, see you in two weeks!

Only after making sure Soisen and Nagini left, he hurried to the door and flipped the sign from "Open" to "Closed."

-Margaret! -shouted the manager as he hurried to the storeroom, "Send a letter to Angus, one to Sirana and one to Orell! We have a special order and we need the old team if we are to fulfill it.

Soisen visited the bookstore where Lockhart would be doing the book signing and after learning the exact date, wandered around the store a bit selecting and setting aside books of interest to study. He went through the potions ingredients store and other places in a flurry of shopping and also set everything aside to pick up in two weeks when they had the ring and choker to take everything with them.

-Did we forget anything? -Soisen asked as they walked down the street.

-We have yet to visit your family's place," Nagini reminded him.

-Right..." Soisen rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Let's go then, I've already invested a lot for today and I'm starting to get hungry. After we take a look around, we'll head back home for a family meal.

Nagini nodded with a smile and accompanied him to the address provided by the elf.
