🕳️🕳️🕳️
Linjos, was a man in his late twenties, 1.77 metres. His ample robe made his build a mystery. He had perfectly shaven long face,
a cleft chin and a aquiline nose. His hair was chest brown with shades of silver and his eyes brimming with intelligence and worry.
"Judging from the difference between Lark and Distar received, he must be aware how powerful she is at the moment. I want to see how he plays it out."
"He's a blue core, weaker than Ainz but stronger than anyone we met, the minimum requirement of becoming a headmaster would be blue core i guess." Mikasa said.
"Well it's embarrassing to say dear Marchioness, but I don't know if I can help you."
"Well it's easier than what you think."
Marchioness sat down on an armchair, inviting Linjos to do the same.
"What do you mean?" Linjos asked while seating.
Then Marchioness started her bullsh*ting like how Lith and Tista were her apprentices, how Nerea only taught them basics.
How her family was always in the eyes of enemies, so she used Narea and Count as a cover.
"That would explain a lot. His achievements are too outstanding for someone without proper backing. Not to mention how Court has taken the matter so seriously, despite coming from a low noble appeal." Chimed Linjos.
"Diss lark one more time ,you and I will have a problem." Lith thought.
Then Marchioness started how this secret shouldn't come light and she didn't wanted to use king's authority as it would make big fuss. She gave some papers to him which made Linjos almost jump from chair.
"He's the one who cured your daughter and extracted the magical poison our labs are currently studying!? " He simply couldn't believe it.
"Mikasa, it would be good if Gravity Magic Grimoire didn't have restrictions. I really want to destroy this academy." Lith said inwardly.
"The nobility in school will be more pain in the axe, almost 70% would come from nobl e or magical family. But we have to preserve, it's for knowledge." Mikasa sighed.
"I sorry for being rude again, but all the testimonies come from your family. Council will surely ruse to force their hand, this story is unbelievable." Linjos tried to think if this was reality or not.
As the best healers of Griffon academy staff tried and failed, while the kid diagnosed the illness and managed to cure it.
"Go to next page please." Marchioness smirked.
The second page had statement of Ainz. He was one of the witnesses and reported everything he saw, giving out the personal assesment of lith. The number of personal spells, he had witnessed him using.
Linjos face was completely pale.
A testimony from a mage, doubting his words would be same as calling him liar and an incompetent. The consequences will be terrible.
The two documents were more than enough
to defy the will of council. But Linjos pondered.
"Whatever I do, I will face backlash either from Marchioness or council and that makes my decision easier. If this child is really talented, it would be crime to blindly follow the old fogeys.
I remember how they opposed me becoming a headmaster as I was too young and radical for the position.
It's time to teach them a lesson. The Queen
offered this position and I accepted because
the academies were so disturbing they had became paper-pushers, neglecting to nurture talents and bootlicking those who're powerful for petty political gain."
Marchioness waited patiently, being thoughtful was a plus on her books.
"I will be glad to accept your disciples, but only if they reach minimum requirement, there's no favouritism in White Griffon." Linjos said while looking at both Tista an Lith.
"But what's this lady qualifications?" He asked to Marchioness.
"She's also a healer who worked full time these 4 years, Lith and Tista coming from a small village proves that talent needs to be searched out. There family could become a magical family in future. " Marchioness replied.
All of them agreed for the entrance test as both Tista and Lith had heard it from Nana.
Headmaster Linjos used his communication amulet to assemble the heads of all the magical departments in test room. Then he opened another dimensional door, bringing them to destination.
Lith knew how less Space law it consumed in dimensional door spell. If he could gain proper understanding he could also make his dimensional or space magic through space law. But Lith's control over space was almost negligible now.
He could only heal space cracks.
It was a big square room each side 30m long which was carved out of a huge piece of stone. The only pieces of furniture were several chairs lined up to wall, were the Marchioness, Headmaster and faculty would seat.
When all 7 heads arrived, the headmaster said: "Start with basics."
First was Tista's turn
She took a deep breath and extended her right hand above the head, generating a dazzling white light the size of a fist.
She was focusing so she couldn't hear the comments.
"Perfect silent light magic. Trivial but effective." "Hope she could show us more."
But soon she moved her hand clockwise, at two o' clock fireball materialised.
"Two kinds of perfect silent magic! Not bad for a commoner." "Double casting finally something interesting."
Her arm kept moving in fluid motion at four o' clock a small thundercloud appeared, which started make audience interested.
"Triple casting at 14, nice." "What the fu🦆? Triple perfect silent...."
The arm reached six o' clock, a blot of pure darkness materialised. Both the headmaster and headmaster understood what it was, but Marchioness has seen Tista during her visit while Linjos was shocked.
"It couldn't be Silverwing's...."
At eight of clock rock, rust and dirt condensed into a round stone, while at eleven o' clock a small bubble of water constantly shifting from liquid, gas and frozen state.
"By the gods! Hexa casting with perfect silent magic!" "That's almost Magus Silverwing's Mana Hexagram." "The last student managed to do it..."
The headmaster elbowed the department head forcing him to shut down. Lith was curious about so much secrecy.
Her arm didn't stop, at the second round of her arm, the single dots of energy became connected with tendrils forming a perfect hexagram inscribed in a circle.
Through the shared connection, energy started to circulate and the elements disappeared leaving only a single golden Hexagram.
Lochra Silverwing's Mana Hexagram was a rare feat, that barely a magician out of 100 could perform. It was an exercise for control of all elements and mana flow. It emphasized mental strength and focus.
After that Tista casted fake spells as fast she can. Then she casted 30 tier one spells.
When she finished there was no applause or congratulations but the convened mages huddle up started to discuss wildly.
Marchioness came and congratulate Tista, "Outstanding performance."
"Thanks." Tista was pretending being short of breath.
"Would I be selected?" She asked to Lith.
"Most definitely unless heaven and earth both turn upside down." Lith replied.
Then Headmaster silenced them, showing the next student.
Everyone was shocked as both Tista and me had similar facial structure.
Lith made the Silverwing's Mana Hexagram
within 40 secs which Increased the ruckus.
"Another one! Both of them from same family such a talent in decades." "What more..."
Then Lith made 41 tier one fake spells. Before pretending of short breath and nausea.
The entire room was silenced and were watching both Tista and me as slab of meat. They wanted to bid to make disciples for there department.
After that Linjos opened another Dimensional door and we came to headmaster office.
Then Linjos gave them the result.
"Congratulations young..... mages. Your admission at white Griffon has been approved. Tista your score is 95/100 and Lith your score is 97/100, the Silverwing's Hexagram lent you 5 point's your actual score is 90 and 92 respectively."
"Well, our goal was not to stick out so much like heaven defying geniuses." Lith said inwardly.
"I look forward to see you both in couple of months. These are books related to specialisation, you can study and revise them." Linjos said while giving them 7 books each. Six were related to elemental specialisation and last was item creation.
"These are highly confidential. You both aren't allowed to show them or discuss about them outside the White Griffon." Linjos warned both of them.
"Any questions before I call the wardrobe for
your uniform?"
"Yes, one. What's the academy position in bullying? As you know we both come from a backward village , our father is a farmer and we don't even have a last name. In my experience even the best of us look down upon me, if not worse."
He threw a meaningful look at Marchioness who pretended not to notice.
"As you see, my sister would cause me lot of problems. There would be many who will come after her or even force her... So is there any item or device which could record? O alarm like 'Hey I'm surrounded need back-up' something? Sigh*. Lith asked if there was any method for prevention.
"Actually, there is." Linjos words made Lith sigh with relief.
Linjos took out a big wooden box twice as big the desk drawers. That was full to brim with black pearl look-alike spheres, the size of a baseball.
"Wow! He even has pocket dimensions in his drawers. " Lith said inwardly.
"Eren this must be also related to forgemastery, it's becoming more and more complex. But at long term it will help us quite a lot." Mikasa chimed in his mind.
"Right? We have to wait a lot, probably I would be blue core then. We had already found the White crystal got from system are rechargeable when cut apart.
It's like accumulation it recharge itself with World Energy. " Lith said inwardly.
"Yes, now we know crystals from red to green are trash. They most probably wouldn't benifit a artifact. They're just props for practice. You have to burn your money later. " Mikasa warned him.
"Yah, I have to use my merits in correct way. Mikasa note down if we found any suitable metal for forgemastery.
In previous life Novels and Animes, they described a fantasy based metal which were the best in conducting mana. 'Adamantine and Orichalcum.
Both of those metals may exist in this world due to its fantasy element." Lith nodded.
"From your memories, they were depicted as legendary metals. If they're present we couldn't even buy them with money.
By exploring we could find but we may have to share it and other way is buying it with merits. Eren get ready to share your inventions in future. Hahaha.
So if you become a magus what title would you take? " Mikasa asked.
"Don't know that must be given by crown. But I will call myself 'The Apostle Of Progress'
(Self proclaimed) " Lith said inwardly while smiling.
"See this Narcissistic fellow, Humph*. You probably will die early by Tista's knife. Hahaha " Mikasa laughed.
"Yah, that's a problem too, her yandere* tendencies have increased after we started her training. I've been sleeping with you from that day.
Sigh* Anyways how's your breakthrough status. Next core may help you form your humanoid form, I can't wait to show everyone to family members except Trion though." Lith said.
"Humph* How much you can butter me up, I will not help when Tista's coming for you head.
Haha, we should hurry and make a spell which could materialise our memories in solid. Only light magic seem promising in that factor." Mikasa replied.
Lith and Mikasa were talking in mind link, there thought's were too fast that even 2 secs haven't passed when Linjos showed the pearl like spheres.
"These spheres are actually Magical items called Guilty Ballots." Linjos said as the item name was self-explanatory.
"Once you activate the Guilty Ballot like Communication Amulet, it would record visual and sound of your surroundings. As soon as you send your mana into it.
A second mana pulse would trigger a call for help, alerting the academy staff. It would be also a beacon for warps through which we can intervene." Linjos explained the manual.
"Thankyou very much! That's what I hoped for." Lith said.
"Wait! The ballot is perfect but it's socially frowned upon, by both students and teachers. I warn you it's much more famous for 'Coward's End' ." Linjos warned him.
"Well if this device can save someone from being assualted or being molested. I will gladly accept it." Lith said while looking at Tista.
Who was hiding her face from his stare.
But her ears were tinted red.
"My sister is becoming strange and strange by the day." Lith inwardly thought.
"Very few have took ballots but they have returned it in next week. People can't do anything while getting isolated or ostracised.
It may left you without a friend. Even those who can become your true friend.
But please have faith in me, all the teachers I handpicked share my vision and will help you." Linjos said optimisticly.
"Bro's too naive. He reminds me of Maes Hughes ( FMA anime). This Linjos would die some day." Lith thought. { Flag🏳️}
"Thank you very much for your concern, but without a ballot, I would be in the hands of fate. With it, instead, if you're right, I will never need it or force to reveal it. If I'm right we both will have our backs covered, and you will have what you need to pursue your ideals.
It's a win-win situation." Lith tried to be polite as he could see many flaws in Linjos pep talk.
Linjos sighed and insisted no more as he knew the truth of the words from Lith.
After concluding the matter, Linjos summoned a wardrobe clock, that delivered two large uniforms for Lith and Tista. The male and female were different. And the embroideries were pitch black in colour.
"At the moment the uniform is in biggest available size, our forgemasters have designed it in way it would perfectly fit with wearer. It will grow over time, you wouldn't need to change it.
The uniform has many properties which are all described in note. But in pockets there's a small dimensional pocket where you can keep your ballot. As far as I know, aside from us and forgemasters, no one's aware of this feature." Linjos explained while showing the cuffs of uniform.
Lith examined the pockets and ballot, it was very small than Mikasa pocket dimension. And it needed mana to work. It was like a fooking CCTV and requires his mana to work.
Before living headmasters office Lith and Tista got more leaflets and booklets about Academy, history, forest and point system. It was enough for filing a library.
"Sigh* so much info dump, Mikasa we should scan it and keep it in Void Archives, if neede we'll use it." Lith said, but was creeped out, when he saw his sister was eyeing him and smiling.
{NIGERUNDAYOOOOO!}
