So, this novel will be dark, and I don't mean 'kinda gray, kinda black' dark, I mean 'dark' dark.
Besides that, this will be my first time trying cultivation, but it isn't the real focus of the novel; Li Yichen simply cannot cultivate that well.
There will be no real 'happy ending' here; Li Yichen is a broken woman, and she eventually finds a way to salvage what she has and take what she wants.
Both her and Gao Chen will be twisted characters, so there is no feel good story to be had.
I wanted to write this for awhile now, and the first chapter has more about the specifics of the novel.

Rise of the Useless Wife

When I finally managed to drift into sleep, I woke up feeling exhausted and irritable, though that was washed away when Li Yue rocked her crib slightly.


Turning towards the sound, I stumbled out of bed, stretching as I walked over to her and deactivating the inscriptions before reaching in and grabbing her.


Leaning against her crib, I began to feed my baby girl as I dozed off slightly, the tiredness catching up to me quickly, only to once again be washed away as Li Yue let out a satisfied burp.


Chuckling at that, I moved over to the wash basin and filled it with fresh water, before grabbing the clean cloth and dipping it inside.


Dapping at Li Yue's skin with the cloth, I began to wash her off before putting her in a fresh set of clothes, much to her delight.


Inspecting the red silk robe she was swaddled in, Li Yue giggled as she pat the material a few times, enjoying the softness on her skin.
