[LENA]

A heavy snowstorm lasted through the entire night.

We cowered around the fireplace, praying that the walls and roof wouldn't collapse on us as the terrifying wind pounded relentlessly against the creaking wooden house. It was so severe that the men had to block the door with a table to prevent it from being forced open.

We were lucky to have reached that place before the snowstorm happened, otherwise, we wouldn't have survived.

It stopped mid-morning the next day.

A pile of snow cascaded into the house once the men got the door open. I had to close my eyes for a moment. It wasn't snowing anymore, but everything was covered with a thick blanket of white. The glittering snow reflecting the sun shining brightly in the cloudless sky made the pristine landscape even brighter.
