Chapter 30

I released a sigh when they did not jump at me from all this Natural Energy. Lucky for me, they manage to hold themselves back and instead absorb the excess natural energy in this room for themselves.

After absorbing all the excess natural energy, they walk toward me and start examining my body. After a couple of minutes, one of the healers looks at me and says,

"Can I ask you a question, Young Lord?"

Young lord? Where is that coming from?

"Sure. Ask away."

"What kind of energy is inside of you, young lord? The more I look at it, the more confused I become."

Shit. How can I explain this? Hmmm, a combination of bullshit and truth will do. I take a deep breath and say.

"My stepmother is the one who taught me this magic. She is the one who taught me this magic that can kill dragons. The real name of my magic is Sky Dragon Slayer Magic, a dragon-slaying magic that mimics the Sky Dragon. She teaches me this magic when she is on the brink of death."

"Your mother… Wait. Don't tell me."

I look at Yasaka, nod, and say.

"Yes. The dragon that appears when I use my last attack is my stepmother."

"But why does she teach you a magic that can kill her kind?"

I look at one of the healers and say.

"Because she wants to die as a dragon and not die from an old injury. She wants to die fighting."

I did not fully lie to them and did not trigger the Senjutsu's lie detector. This is among the knowledge I got from the system when I got the Senjutsu mastery. Senjutsu can detect a lie from someone's word, but they cannot detect a semi-truth word. It is the truth, after all, but not fully.

I can see Yasaka look at me in pity and hear her saying.

"So you are a Dragon Slayer even before killing Orochi."

"No. I will not take the title of Dragon Slayer before Orochi. Killing my own mother is not something I am proud of, and the reason why I kill her is because she wants to die fighting instead of dying because of an old wound."

Yasaka nods in understanding and says.

"I understand, and we are sorry for bringing back this bad memory."

"It is okay. I understand."

Yasaka nods and looks at the healer. Who continues to check on me. They continue to cast their spell and carefully examine my body and soul.

"I know that Lady Yasaka told us you know how to use Senjutsu, but I did not know that your mastery is this high, Young Lord. Your soul is already fully healed and even enchanted. If you continue to practice senjutsu, you might as well live up to two hundred years without a problem. Even three hundred years should not be a problem, and that is the lifespan for some of our Youkai Race."

"Thank you."

"Your life force is already full and steadily grows stronger. You are as healthy as possible, Young Lord."

"Thank you for your hard work."

The group of healers nod their heads, bow at Yasaka, and leave the room. With the healers gone, Yasaka looks at me and says.

"I hope you will tell me the whole truth in the future, Ryan."

"Eh? What do you mean, Yasaka?"

She smiles gently at me and says,

"I'm a leader of a Youkai faction, and I meet someone who likes to tell half-truths or the 'truth,' and I already know when someone is not telling me the full truth. My only hope is that you can trust me enough to tell me your secret. I know that it is a painful secret, but I hope that you are willing to open up and share your burden."

I look at her, and I can feel a small pang of guilt hit my heart. I can only smile at her and say.

"Yes. I promise you that I will share my secret with you in the future."

"Thank you."

Yasaka put her head on my shoulder, and we only enjoyed each other's presence. However, it shatters when the door to this door opens up, and I can see Kunou standing there. She smiles brightly when she sees me and launches her body into mine.

"Big Brother!"

"Oof"

I fall to the and see Kunou rubbing her head on my chest. I smile a little and pat her head. I picked her up and let her sit on my lap. With our silence being broken, I look at Yasaka and say.

"So, what happened to the corpse of the dragon?"

"Ah, right. That is one of the things that I want to ask you. What will you do with the corpse?"

"Hmmm? Me? Why are you asking me this?"

"You are the one landing the killing blow. You are the owner of the dragon corpse. There are a lot of factions who want to buy the corpse. Among those factions are ours. Even Goddess Inari wants to buy some of the meat."

"Right. I don't really care. How about this? You take care of the problem for me, and we can split the profit fifty-fifty."

"No. If we go by this, I already make a profit by creating a good relationship with other factions. I cannot take the profit from selling the corpse."

"Right. Sixty-forty, how about it?"

She looks at me for a few seconds before saying.

"Ninety-five and five."

"Nope. Sixty-five and thirty-five."

"Ninety and ten."

"Why are you asking for less profit? Seventy and thirty! Take it or take one hundred percent of it."

"You are the one who is weird, Ryan. How can you want us to make a profit even though you are the one killing the dragon? Fine! We will take thirty percent of the profit."

I nod and smile at her.

"Thank you. Is there anything else you need to tell me?"

"Oh, right. Someone wants to see you. Someone really important."

"Really? When is it?"

"In a week."

"Can you tell me who it is?"

"Amaterasu-sama."

"Ah."

I open my eyes and see the familiar blue panel appear in front of me. I push it to the side for now and get out of bed. It has been a few days since the news of the Goddess of Amaterasu wanting to meet me, and after the initial panic, the day got back to normal.

I get back to college to have my regular spar, study, and healing sessions. Karin and Yuki look like they have been glued to me for the past few days. They are angry at me for doing something so reckless even though I already told them that it was to rescue Yasaka.

I shake my head and get downstairs. I walk to the kitchen and heat up last night's food. While waiting, I open the system and press the Y button. After I press that button, I fall to the ground, clutching my head.

A massive amount of knowledge gets inside my head, and not only my head but my body also gets in pain from whatever it was the system gave me. After ten minutes of pain, I release a sigh as the pain disappears into thin air.

I look at the floating blue box in front of me and grunt a little.

|Congratulations! You get the Total Concentration Breathing technique|

I shake my head and get up from the ground. The (Total Concentration Breathing) technique is unique because it is divided into six styles. The first one, and the father of all styles, is something called the Sun Breathing technique.

This breathing technique then gives birth to five styles: Water, Flame, Thunder, Stone, and Wind.

It looks like I got the jackpot in this gacha because I can use all of those styles, and I have muscle memory as well. Not only that, the system also makes sure my lungs are strong enough to let me use all those styles safely and not rapture.

I only need to train it so my body gets used to it and can use it without stopping. The first thing I need to test is the constant breathing technique, and lucky for me, there is one way to do it. It's a kagura dance.

The Sun Ritual Dance. It is a ritual dance that shows our gratitude for the Sun who keeps shining on us every day and a ritual dance that asks the sun to keep showering us with its light. It is a complex dance because the dancer needs to keep their breathing steady so they cannot get exhausted until the ritual dance is over, which takes a full twenty-four hours.

I look at the calendar and see that today is my free day, and tomorrow is Sunday, another free day. That means I can do this ritual dance now. However, I need to buy the uniform first.
